  1. Reduce the number (hundreds) of times that a login and password need to be entered

Why do I spend more time entering my email address and password than accessing the many different files and actually doing some work!

  2. Sync SP Shared calendar with ms365 / OWA

Our law enforcement agency consists of over 1400 users. Probably 90% of those users use OWA .. no licenses for the client. We also have many units that use SP and have a shared calendar on the SP site. Supervisors would like to be able to see this shared calendar in OWA. At this time the calendar can only be shared in the outlook client.

  3. SPMT tool is not retaining folder permission sharepoint online post migration.

SPMT tool is not retaining folder permission in sharepoint online post migration. A User/users added with FULL permission on local folder when synced to sharepoint online it does not retain the permission. User/Users with Modify permission and R/W permission are getting retained as is in sharepoint online. Please look in to this issue.

  4. Sharepoint Migration Tool Wiki page library

Allow WIki Page LIbrary to be selected from the list of things to migrate from OnPrem to Online.

Currently, even though we can successfully migrate WIki Page LIbraries by selecting "Migrate All Lists, LIbraries, Pages and Webparts", it does not allow you to specifically select WIki page libraries from the drop down to migrate just that libraries instead of migrating everything.

  5. Map the default groups in SharePoint

Map the default groups in SharePoint

Right now you can map AD users/groups manually through a CSV but it doesn't apply to SharePoint groups.

The problem comes with default groups when migrating to a site collection already created at the destination. At the end of the migration, 6 default groups are available: the 3 source groups and the 3 destination groups.

The problem is even greater if we want to keep the permissions since the tool breaks inheritance in all the lists/libraries due to
The source Visitors group is different from the destination Visitors group
    The source group of Members…

  6. Allow a user using the SPMT tool to select what site template to use when creating a new site.

Currently when SPMT creates a new site it only does a Modern site no groups. It would be beneficial to have the tool give an option of what site you would like to create. Example sometimes I might want a communication site. In order to do this today I have to first create the site in SPO then use the SPMT tool to set that as my destination. It might be good to have a few choices to pick from or let the user build a site template mapping file.

  7. SPMT should have a silent, scriptable installation process

The SharePoint Migration Tool should have a well documented, silent and scriptable installation process. The GUI portions of this product have interest to me, and yet, I'm stuck with 3 or four clicks to get it installed just so I can automate data migrations.

    Maybe a Nuget Package? Chocolatey?

  10. SPS2013: Sites link in top Nav

Hybrid scenario with My Sites in the cloud.
Waffle menu on Prem has the "Sites" link that points to https://<Tenant>.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/MySite.aspx?MySiteRedirect=AllSites&Source=SP

This link is the same as the "OneDrive" link
    https://<Tenant>.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/MySite.aspx?MySiteRedirect=AllDocuments&Source=SP

    Suggested change:

Have https://<Tenant>.sharepoint.com/layouts/15/MySite.aspx?MySiteRedirect=AllSites&Source=SP redirect to /layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx instead of the OneDrive.

  12. Created By Column on the Site Contents page

The new Contents tab on the new Site Contents page has a Modified column, but not a Modified By column. It would be great to be able to see who has last modified the contents.

  13. It would be wonderful if we could edit a security group at the document level to remove a user from access to that single document.

I haven't found a way to remove a user from a security group at the document level without removing them from the group all together. We should be able to remove a user from a security group at the lowest level.

  14. when creating a new file in office 365, offer the option to save to sharepoint

If i select the 9 dots in the top left corner, i can create a brand new Word document or Excel workbook, etc. But when i choose save as, my only option is my OneDrive. Why cant i save this directly to my SharePoint system, i am already logged in and it would be really useful if i could save to SharePoint rather than what i currently have to do which is save to OneDrive, download it locally then upload it to SharePoint.

  15. A text with some line breaks of document sets is displayed as single line at welcome page

Even if user type texts with some line break into "Multiple lines of text" column in the document set,
the text is displayed as one line without line break at welcome page
Our customer would like us to change the design so that line break info is kept even in welcome page.

    • Repro Step

    • Go to document library and click [LIBRARY] tab in the ribbon UI and [Library Settings]

    • Click [Advanced settings] and enable [Allow management of content types?]

  17. SharePoint list linked with Access Displays #Error

Calculated fields in SharePoint lists generate an #Error as result when linked to an Microsoft Access database (2010, 2013, 2016 and 365 versions).
    Please fix this.

  18. SharePoint on-prem & Office365 Branding

I guess it's curial, that SharePoint 2016 and Office 365 has the same branding possibilities, that the look and feel for end-user could be aligned in a Hybrid scenario right out-of-the-box. Currently, there are different banding possibilities on both platforms and therefore it's hard to get a unified design, without using customizations.

  19. Microsoft Flow - Permission/Administration of this feature

Microsoft Flow is a new and interesting idea to easily integrate various, High Level process across multiple platforms. However, as an administrator, I feel there are HUGE concerns with allowing anyone with credentials into my environment to be able to create a Flow and have it post to a Facebook, Twitter, etc. bypassing any company's policy/procedure for posting company information into a public/community forum. Just on this reason alone, Microsoft Flow can be a dangerous tool, especially when people are just "testing it out". I feel there should be some form of administration allowed by SharePoint Online Admins to allow…

  20. Allow Content Organizer to put docs into Document Sets

Currently Content Organizer directs docs into "folders" only. It doesn't recognize Document Sets as target destination. Since we are encouraged not to use folders, it seems a bit odd that Content Organizer doesn't work with Document Sets. Please make Doc Sets available in folders' place.
And even better would be that the Content Organizer work with any URL within the site, regardless it be a folder, doc set, page or anything. Let it simply move docs into whatever URL is given in the rule setting!

    Thanks!
