  1. Full Yammer Integration

    Can we please have full Yammer integration in SharePoint 2016, instead of a half baked work-around that doesn't always work properly. It would be good to have proper views that can be filter based on tags or groups.

    • allow admin to be able to monitor site usage without a third party tool

      It is so frustrating to not be able to know how much a site is being used. The current stats offered in SharePoint 2013 are a joke! 2010 was pitiful, but then in 2013 those were taken away for something that was completely convoluted. Please open up search and usage analytics for people to use to let our site admins know whether or not people are using SharePoint without paying an arm and a leg for third party tools!

      • Migration or upgrade path to 365

        Currently if we want to migrate or upgrade to 365 we have to purchase an additional 3rd party product. It would be very beneficial if we could migrate some of the on-premise list, libraries or even sites without the need to invest additional tools that charge per GB.

        • Hybrid Office Web Apps

          We currently have to maintain on-prem OWA server(s) to handle on-prem document previews (even in new Hybrid search), and of course in-browser document editing/viewing. This experience will undoubtedly become fragmented from Office Online as MS adds features to the cloud platform.

          I would really like to leverage the Office 365 Online apps to preview/view/edit documents hosted on-prem. This is really the last piece of the hybrid puzzle for us.

          • Delve Integration

            I would like the Delve UX in my SharePoint onprem environment and also have my onprem events from SharePoint, Lync, Exchange and custom sources added to my company's Office graph. The solution may be Hybrid, but integration should be easy to setup and configure.

            • Improve Site.LastItemModifiedDate

              The LastItemModifiedDate property of the site object in Office 365 reports the last time an item in the site was modified by either the system or a user. This causes a problem for anyone or any tool trying to do activity reporting to determine the last time a site was modified by a user. Please create a LastItemModifiedByUserDate and/or LastItemModifiedBySystemDate to allow us to distinguish the two.

              • Enable 'Export to Excel' on non-IE Browsers

                We can use the 'Export to Excel' functionality in lists and libraries in Internet Explorer, but it doesn't work in Chrome or other browsers, even though the ribbon button is enabled. Instead, we get errors that look something like this:

                WEB
                1
                https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/mysitename/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?XMLDATA=1&List={BF80F884-1DDC-4B28-B088-4F8A60F410C2}&View={8A06B7A1-44A1-4082-88FB-A88899D69303}&RowLimit=0&RootFolder=%2fsites%2fmysitename%2fLists%2fmylistname

                Selection={BF80F884-1DDC-4B28-B088-4F8A60F410C2}-{8A06B7A1-44A1-4082-88FB-A88899D69303}

                ConsecutiveDelimitersAsOne=True
                SingleBlockTextImport=False
                DisableDateRecognition=False
                DisableRedirections=False
                SharePointApplication=https://tenant.sharepoint.com/sites/mysitename/_vti_bin

                RootFolder=/sites/mysitename/Lists/mylistname

                As I understand it, this is because the functionality uses ActiveX. However, in this modern world we know that people are using different browsers very frequently. This should work in all browsers or at least fall back to a CSV export if it can't…

                • App Launcher on prem

                  Bring the App launcher ribbon form O365 to on Prem and allow use to administer what icons/links appear form central admin.

                  This would allow the use of SharePoint as a landing page company wide with links to all corporate applications on SharePoint and external.

                  • Outlook Integration of Tasks

                    The default emails that are sent for an approval workflow are broken. The idea is that users can click on the "Open this Task" button directly within Outlook. But this button is broken (since 2010?)
                    Beside that there is no such button when using Outlook Web Access.

                    Therefore there is no way direktly hup into the according task to edit this approval workflow.

                    This issue should be fixed and the email itself should contain a link to approve or reject this wf directly.

                    • Add Solar Hijri calendar

                      It would be great if we can use Solar Hijri calendar in SP without depending (expense and support) on 3rd parties.

                      • Bring back My Task list

                        It doesn't make sense that this option is available on-premise but not on SPO. I would like to know how a user is suppose to figure out all the outstanding tasks on their queue from different workflows and subsites without browsing through each one of them.

                        I realized there is email notification and such, but without a full list of outstanding tasks, it's a nightmare to try to prioritize the tasks.

                        I would like to know why this was removed and what was the rationale behind it. Also, I would like to see real data that supported this decision.

                          We as SharePoint administrators cannot see how many email SharePoint sends (when sharing sites for example) and are email colleges are complaining that our farm sends to much email. Make it more insightfull

                          • Fix "Connect to Office"

                            Description of Problem:
                            After clicking the Connect to Office button, and then Add SharePoint Sites button, i would have expected to see the site, or library added to either my favorites in windows explorer or the save as menu in a office client applicaiton.

                            Steps to Reproduce Issue:

                            1. Navigate to SharePoint Online Document Library
                            2. Under Library Tab on Ribbon
                            3. Click Connect to Office
                            4. Click Add to SharePoint Sites
                            5. Open Microsoft Word Native Client Application
                            6. Click File
                            7. Click Save As

                            Look for New Site to be Added? Missing Link? Link Not Found?

                            Alternate:

                            • Having calendar invites to Site Mailbox show up on site calendar

                              Sending calendar invite or meeting request from Outlook (exchange) calendar to Site mailbox will not add the event to calendar created in SharePoint online as the SharePoint calendar is not associated with site mailbox in anyway.

                              Also exchange calendar cannot be overlayed with SharePoint calendar as this feature is not available in SharePoint Online.

                              • Lower the permission requirements to view Site Usage Reports

                                At present, you need Full Control to view Site Usage Reports. This seems unnecessary to view what is an on-demand obfuscated report. It should be a case of granting someone ‘View Web Analytics Data - View reports on Web site usage’ permission rather than resorting to Full Control just so a VIP can see how his site is used.

                                • Office 365 - Migration sites between two tenant

                                  It would be nice to have a service/ tool, which would allow us to move sites, libraries, etc. between tenants. This way, we could have a test tenant for testing and populate content to our main prod tenant or move content between a tenant in Europe and Asia.

                                  • Public website

                                    Let me start with this "I was a great fan of Microsoft".

                                    Now the issue: Why in the world would Microsoft remove public sites from Office 365, where every other cloud provider adopting the feature of allowing the users to use their own domain name. What sense does the option to add a domain make in the O365 portal.

                                    Why do people go for Office 365? It is just because it supports small businesses to have a collaboration site with a little amount of money. But preventing the users from using their own domain name will surely push them out.…

                                    • Limited access should allow users to browse through the structure

                                      Sharing a document library in a complex structure does not allow user to go through the existing structure to see, where he/she has access to. It is needed the user know well where he should look for documents.
                                      Limited Access permission description is misleading users/admins to think the user can BROWSE the structure. Currently it is almost impossible for admins to setup a complex structure on SharePoint and later decide he/she want invite users inside the middle of existing structure and letting users to browse the structure. Currently the user need to have its own list where he has access…

                                      • Enable support for Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) in SharePoint Online.

                                        CMIS is an open standard maintained by OASIS. Microsoft was one of the original stakeholders in creating this open standard. Microsoft has implemented CMIS support in all recent server versions of SharePoint. Only SharePoint Online does not yet support CMIS. Having this interface would make migration to SharePoint Online much easier as customers could use a tool like OpenCMIS to easily migrate their content and folder structures from their existing content repositories to SharePoint Online.

                                        • The presentation of the blog on Delve

                                          I would like to suggest that blog posts could be presented more visually on the personal Delve profile instead of having to go to the actual blog. This might increase usability and sociability and provide better user experience.
