  1. Bring back My Task list

It doesn't make sense that this option is available on-premise but not on SPO. I would like to know how a user is suppose to figure out all the outstanding tasks on their queue from different workflows and subsites without browsing through each one of them.

I realized there is email notification and such, but without a full list of outstanding tasks, it's a nightmare to try to prioritize the tasks.

I would like to know why this was removed and what was the rationale behind it. Also, I would like to see real data that supported this decision.

    • Public website

Let me start with this "I was a great fan of Microsoft".

Now the issue: Why in the world would Microsoft remove public sites from Office 365, where every other cloud provider adopting the feature of allowing the users to use their own domain name. What sense does the option to add a domain make in the O365 portal.

Why do people go for Office 365? It is just because it supports small businesses to have a collaboration site with a little amount of money. But preventing the users from using their own domain name will surely push them out.…

      • Lower the permission requirements to view Site Usage Reports

At present, you need Full Control to view Site Usage Reports. This seems unnecessary to view what is an on-demand obfuscated report. It should be a case of granting someone ‘View Web Analytics Data - View reports on Web site usage’ permission rather than resorting to Full Control just so a VIP can see how his site is used.

        • Allow admins to see all hybrid search properties

Currently, custom properties from an on-prem farm, like site columns in a site, are only visible to the search service account in O365. Global admins, SharePoint admins, cannot see these properties and cannot access them until they are added to managed properties.

          • Having calendar invites to Site Mailbox show up on site calendar

Sending calendar invite or meeting request from Outlook (exchange) calendar to Site mailbox will not add the event to calendar created in SharePoint online as the SharePoint calendar is not associated with site mailbox in anyway.

Also exchange calendar cannot be overlayed with SharePoint calendar as this feature is not available in SharePoint Online.

            • better email monitoring

We as SharePoint administrators cannot see how many email SharePoint sends (when sharing sites for example) and are email colleges are complaining that our farm sends to much email. Make it more insightfull

              • Allow SPMT libraries to be used as a source in our own Migration solutions

Would be great to be able to use SharePoint Migration Tool libraries in our own Migration solutions. For example, it's great to include "Microsoft.Sharepoint.Migrationtool.Migrationlib.dll" in the project and make small, Customer-specific migration tool based on existing SPMT functionality.

All the requirements for that - is to add a bit more comments for public members. And write some documentation of basic usage scenarios: simple site migration in .NET project, migrating simple document library etc.

                • Provide support for content enrichment in cloud hybrid search

Can we please get support for on-prem content enrichment as part of the Cloud Hybrid Search service?
Otherwise we're stuck with Federated search, which is far from optimal in terms of user experience.

                  • Enable Host Named Site Collections in O365 SharePoint online

In SharePoint online it would be very helpful to also have host named site collections. We use this to logicall sign and separate our URL's like for departments or business units.
                    E.g. https://it.mycompany.sharepoint.com and https://hr.mycompany.sharepoint.com

                    • Limited access should allow users to browse through the structure

Sharing a document library in a complex structure does not allow user to go through the existing structure to see, where he/she has access to. It is needed the user know well where he should look for documents.
Limited Access permission description is misleading users/admins to think the user can BROWSE the structure. Currently it is almost impossible for admins to setup a complex structure on SharePoint and later decide he/she want invite users inside the middle of existing structure and letting users to browse the structure. Currently the user need to have its own list where he has access…

                      • Enable support for Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) in SharePoint Online.

CMIS is an open standard maintained by OASIS. Microsoft was one of the original stakeholders in creating this open standard. Microsoft has implemented CMIS support in all recent server versions of SharePoint. Only SharePoint Online does not yet support CMIS. Having this interface would make migration to SharePoint Online much easier as customers could use a tool like OpenCMIS to easily migrate their content and folder structures from their existing content repositories to SharePoint Online.

                        • make the calendar overlay easily customizable...ie see description

Please make the calendar overlay more customizable. At this time, if I overlay multiple calendars and see that I don't like the order in which the events appear on the main calendar, I have to delete all the existing overlaid calendars and start over completely. For any group like the ones I work with where there might be 4 calendars and 2 items on each calendar for any given day, deleting and starting over is not an option, so I have to go in and make sure that everyone knows "Please be sure to look at all items in a…

                          • Add a Markdown or Commonmark viewer, like the TFS Server has.

When a Markdown file (*.md) is stored in a document library, it would be great if the default behavior when opening the link was to display it in a new page with the HTML view of the Markdown syntax. Team
Foundation Server 2017 does this in it's web view. Currently SharePoint Online opens the file as a text file. Sort of can't believe that this wasn't already an idea in this UserVoice site...

I am trying to get my company to use SharePoint instead of DropBox and Google drive. I am able to map a drive letter to a SharePoint Document folder on a Windows computer. I can't do this on our Macs. We have many Macs running Office 2016. The Document Connector that was in the previous version of office has been removed. Can you please bring this program back, or give me a way to connect to the document folder on SharePoint.

                              • Allow Sharepoint to Open HTML pages in Browser

Our team has been using Sharepoint for years. Recently, we decided to move to 365 Platform as it has better user interface:

Having said that we were disappointed to see that Sharepoint 365 does not show html pages, instead it opens up the html in a text editor.

And if we wish to share the link as a read only, then the link will download a html file (on each time when the link is clicked). Really annoying !!!

                                • Unified Groups File location path on SharePoint

Problem: Unified Groups or Office 365 Groups create a hidden site collection on SharePoint used for file storage. The Site is Accessible to users through One Drive interface. The site is created under the managed path /sites/. It create confusion for users and administration and limit the choices in the namespace.

                                  Solution:
The sites for unified groups should be created under a new manage path /Groups/ and administration rights should be given SPO admins by default.

                                    • Possibility to successfully add the new Site Page content type to a custom Wiki or Document library and improve functionality.

I love the layout of the new Site Page content type, with end-user friendly editing options, super easy and intuitive document and video embedding options and easier than ever picture inserting. When inserting a picture, you do not need to choose in which library it will be uploaded and you don't have to fill any meta-data. The same with attaching documents. Even more - Office documents get automatically embedded in the page. Now you can have some text and embedded…

                                      • Automatically Sync All Sites to Desktop

Right now, the best way to sync SharePoint sites with desktop computers with Office 365 ProPlus 2016 is to visit the site in a browser, navigate to the Document Library, and click the "Sync" button. The desired functionality is that on first launch, OneDrive for Business prompts for the user's login credentials (it would be nice if this was pre-populated for domain joined and/or Azure AD logins as…
