  1. Enable renaming the site collection URLs

Currently the site collection URLs are fixed as https://tenant.sharepoint.com and cannot be changed. This does not fit with flexible cloud-based solutions - business needs will inevitably result in an organisation changing it's name during its lifetime (mergers, acquisitions, rebranding etc). While it may not be possible to change it so that entirely custom domains are used (eg contoso.com, instead of sharepoint.com), it must be possible to allow the sub-domain to be changed (eg. newtenant.sharepoint.com)? Please?

Migrating an entire organisation (likely to include Exchange, Skype, Sharepoint and Onedrive data!!) to a new Tenancy is absolutely not a viable option.

    • Replace URL spaces with dashes instead of %20

Please change how SharePoint generates links to uploaded documents and site pages, so that URLs with spaces will replace %20 with a dash instead. Most CMS tools including blogs do when generating SEO friendly URLs. Links with %20 throughout are too difficult to read.

This feedback site is a perfect example:

      This:
      https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/282887-customer-feedback-for-sharepoint-server

is easier to read than this:

      • Restore "Sign in as a different user"

This is essential and needs to be easy to find instead of hacking the URL every time you need to sign in as a different user.

        • be aware of the behavior through App launcher.

In case I get access SharePoint Online along with the URL which is not encoded through Internet Explorer, I am aware that the HTTP 500 internal error occurs when clicking the App launcher's[Email][Calendar]in the sate that the URL includes the double-byte characters(such as Home). I hope the immediate improvement concerning this incident.

          • Optimize Access Request Settings for site owners

Three requested updates to significantly improve the Access Request process:

            1) Allow multiple users to receive access requests

Access requests (Site Settings > Site Permission > Access Request Settings) can be sent to anyone with an email address, but it has three critical downsides: 1) you are limited to one email recipient; 2) the field does not accept SharePoint groups; and 3) it’s prone to misspellings of email addresses since the field is not a people picker.

One of the most extreme examples of how this is broken: My company’s CEO needs access to a file s/he has a link…

Thanks for your feedback! The access requests page could certainly use a little love and some usability improvements for both end users and site administrators. We will take a look at these recommendations and update this request when we are ready to begin working on the improvements.

            • Overview of applied content types

Content types are an essential part of SharePoint. One issue that has been around since SharePoint 2007 is the absence of an overview of all applied content types. Why is this important? Try to delete a content type and you get the message it's still in use. Good luck finding out where. This is very frustrating and time consuming. That's why I vote for an overview where you can see where the content types are applied.

              • Permissions report - inheritance breaks

Allow the owners of the sites to view a report of the security of their site. Start by adding a chart of the inheritance breaks of the whole site in one glance. This will become more and more important since you can use the 'Share' button on a file and break inheritance without understanding what you're doing.

                  • Provide item level restore capability in Office 365

The inability to restore items from backup in Office365 other than via a full site collection restore/overwrite is severely blocking our ability to move to Office 365. If a critical document was lost 2 weeks ago I can't tell a population of hundreds of users that I need to overwrite 2 weeks of work to get it back. This causes us to have to implement incredibly expensive methods of "backing up the cloud" negating a huge percentage of the cloud's operational and cost savings. Microsoft has the backups. There are countless technologies available for SharePoint to enable this. Microsoft needs…

                      • Encourage sharing w groups

We typically discourage site owners from sharing at the document level due to the increase in administrative work that it causes. We also discourage owners from inviting individuals - we suggest that inviting groups makes the work simpler. However, the interface when sharing a document doesn't encourage sharing with groups - doesn't even make it obvious that sharing with groups is possible there. Are we wrong in how we are encouraging our site owners to manage their sites? If not, can it be made more obvious that sharing with groups is the best practice?

                        • Sorting of followed sites

The new layout looks better, but there does not seem to be any way of re-ordering these - not even alphabetically. When you follow a lot of sites as I do, they can be hard to find in an unordered jumble of large tiles.
Please either sort automatically or provide a means for us to sort them!

From this article, using the following powershell command we can Turn scripting capabilities on for specified site.
                            Set-SPOsite <SiteURL> -DenyAddAndCustomizePages 0

It doesn't work for group site and onedrive for business site. We can set Custom Script value to Allow users to run custom script on personal sites in SharePoint admin. All onedrive for business site will turn on it after 24 hours.

But how to turn on for group site?

Thanks for the feedback! We agree that there’s a lot of value in having an easier, more flexible self-service site creation story. We’re actively working on some ideas in this area though they are in too early a stage to share publicly.

10/2016: as we’ve recently announced and shared @ Ignite – we will be enabling path-based self-service site creation very soon. This update will include admin controls to specify the named path and will allow users to create modern, group-connected team sites.

                              • Add built-in ability to promote a subsite to be a new site collection root

Current methods of exporting and importing are extremely clunky and prone to break functionality. A built-in, fully supported method would be appreciated.

Thank you for the feedback! We are exploring ways to make site collections (and their subsites) more cohesive containers. Can you elaborate on your scenarios – for promotion is it to move the content or replace the existing parent? For demotion is this within the same container or to subsume a site collection under a new or existing site collection?

10/2016: thanks for the additional scenario details. It sounds like the key ask is to enable easy promotion/move of content. While we are still evaluating updates to subsites, as you’ve probably heard we are elevating self-service site creation to enabling site collections. Coupled with improvements to move/copy – this should help with some of these content promotion scenarios. Keep the feedback coming through the tech community!

                                  • Allow creation of managed path

On prem, we use web apps and managed path to define our sites structure. I understand that we cannot have webapps online but why can't we create managed path?

I would use it to group sites by type
                                    http://tenant/teams/TeamA
                                    http://tenant/groups/GroupA
                                    http://tenant/services/IT
                                    http://tenant/clients/000000

It would help for search and administration.

                                    Thanks.

                                      • Allow to maintain names and descriptions in multiple languages through the UI

We often have the case that a SharePoint site collection is created with primary language English and secondary language German. If we have German site owners and they change the site's name or description, the changes do not occur to non-German users. The same issue occurs on library/list names and descriptions and on column names and descriptions.
To solve this issue, it would be so very helpful to have the possibility to also change the name and description in secondary language(s) within the frontend of SharePoint - without the necessity to change the browser's language.

                                        • Organize sharepoint sites

I'd like to be able to organize the home page of sites i'm following to put the sites I use the most at the top, and group similar sites --for instance, I have several sites that are related to Human resources work, but I only use them occasionally and would like them to put them in a folder or notebook. Instead, they are all listed separately and I have to scroll through them to get to the ones I use more frequently. If there is already a way to do this, it is NOT apparent on the way my sharepoint…
