  1. Export WIKI pages as PDF or Word files

Would be great to export(download) wiki pages as PDF of Word files.

All similar systems have that feature (Atlassian Confluence, Zendesk)

  2. DenyAddAndCustomizePages for office 365 group morden site and OneDrive for Business

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Turn-scripting-capabilities-on-or-off-1F2C515F-5D7E-448A-9FD7-835DA935584F?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US

From this article, using the following powershell command we can Turn scripting capabilities on for specified site.
    Set-SPOsite <SiteURL> -DenyAddAndCustomizePages 0

It doesn't work for group site and onedrive for business site. We can set Custom Script value to Allow users to run custom script on personal sites in SharePoint admin. All onedrive for business site will turn on it after 24 hours.

But how to turn on for group site?

  4. Allow creation of managed path

On prem, we use web apps and managed path to define our sites structure. I understand that we cannot have webapps online but why can't we create managed path?

I would use it to group sites by type
    http://tenant/teams/TeamA
    http://tenant/groups/GroupA
    http://tenant/services/IT
    http://tenant/clients/000000

It would help for search and administration.

    Thanks.

  5. More useful site usage reports

Provide more usage reports. Specifically the number of views a list has had.

e.g. We publish news items in a custom list but have no stats for how many people are viewing those news items. Users do not open each news article individually - they just look at the view like they'd look at a newspaper page.

  6. SharePoint access control visibility

Access control is extremely important to my company and our customers. Currently, unless you're an Owner of a team site, you have a very limited view of who has access to what. Members can see who content has been shared with via the Share->Shared With dialog view, but this doesn't show the level of access those individuals have (read vs. write). This causes angst among our users who sometimes won't add content because they are not sure who has the ability to modify the content they add. To get around this, we have created a custom page for our team…

  7. Need to include popularity trends for a blog site

I cannot see popularity trends on a blog site and all posted counter is zero 0.
Even blog sites, it needs to know popularity trends and most popular items although I understood that usage reports are only available for Document Libraries and Product Catalog lists.
Is there any chance to have this considered?

  8. Regional settings for International sites

International projects integrate people collaborating from various locations with different cultural backgrounds AND DIFFERENT DATE FORMATS AND NUMBER FORMATS.
Site settings link a region to a language, date & time format, number format. In Windows these settings are separated. Better.
I need an option to select English (International = US English), ISO8601 date & time format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM, and a number format using a dot as decimal point. This is currently impossible to find. US Military and international teams in science as well as many global organizations need these settings. It is not good to force the US date format…

  9. Organize sharepoint sites

I'd like to be able to organize the home page of sites i'm following to put the sites I use the most at the top, and group similar sites --for instance, I have several sites that are related to Human resources work, but I only use them occasionally and would like them to put them in a folder or notebook. Instead, they are all listed separately and I have to scroll through them to get to the ones I use more frequently. If there is already a way to do this, it is NOT apparent on the way my sharepoint…

  11. Encourage sharing w groups

We typically discourage site owners from sharing at the document level due to the increase in administrative work that it causes. We also discourage owners from inviting individuals - we suggest that inviting groups makes the work simpler. However, the interface when sharing a document doesn't encourage sharing with groups - doesn't even make it obvious that sharing with groups is possible there. Are we wrong in how we are encouraging our site owners to manage their sites? If not, can it be made more obvious that sharing with groups is the best practice?

  12. Set New Site Contents Page to be site Welcome Page

I love the new site contents page. I think it is so good that it is the perfect page to be the home page of any Team Site. Currently this is not possible to set back-end pages to be the Welcome page of a site.

We should be able to set the new site contents page to be the homepage of the site.

  13. Sorting of followed sites

The new layout looks better, but there does not seem to be any way of re-ordering these - not even alphabetically. When you follow a lot of sites as I do, they can be hard to find in an unordered jumble of large tiles.
Please either sort automatically or provide a means for us to sort them!

  14. Give site owners a consistent access request experience

The request access process is inconsistent across the product. When a user requests access to a site he or she is not a member of, the site owner has an easy time granting the user the appropriate level of access by clicking the ... context menu and assigning the user to a group.

If a user requests access to a library with unique permissions from the parent, the site owner can only grant the user an explicit permission level even though there are groups in place that govern access. Giving a bunch of users direct access to an object just…

  15. Enable renaming the SPO tenant domain

Currently the site collection URLs are fixed as https://tenant.sharepoint.com and cannot be changed. This does not fit with flexible cloud-based solutions - business needs will inevitably result in an organisation changing it's name during its lifetime (mergers, acquisitions, rebranding etc). While it may not be possible to change it so that entirely custom domains are used (eg contoso.com, instead of sharepoint.com), it must be possible to allow the sub-domain to be changed (eg. newtenant.sharepoint.com)? Please?

Migrating an entire organisation (likely to include Exchange, Skype, Sharepoint and Onedrive data!!) to a new Tenancy is absolutely not a viable option.

Providing a consistent user experience across M365 that continues to function as expected is a very complex problem which we have been validating in a Private Preview Program.

The good news is that we are once again able to accept additional nominations into the Private Preview. If you would like to nominate yourself you can do so at https://aka.ms/SPOTenantRenameNomination. Please note that a nomination does not necessarily mean that you will be accepted. We are reviewing these on a case by case basis and will only be in contact if accepted.

For more information about renaming your SharePoint domain including the current limitations and process visit https://aka.ms/SPOTenantRename.

  16. Add AAM (alternate access mapping) to Sharepoint Online

  17. Overview of applied content types

Content types are an essential part of SharePoint. One issue that has been around since SharePoint 2007 is the absence of an overview of all applied content types. Why is this important? Try to delete a content type and you get the message it's still in use. Good luck finding out where. This is very frustrating and time consuming. That's why I vote for an overview where you can see where the content types are applied.

A consolidated admin view of where published content types are being used is still being evaluated, but for folks voting for the related use case of “better creation and management of content types” please refer to site designs (aka.ms/spsitedesigns) as a modern mechanism to create/apply content types to site libraries. We are also looking at how this could be more easily supported from hub sites.

  19. Permissions report - inheritance breaks

Allow the owners of the sites to view a report of the security of their site. Start by adding a chart of the inheritance breaks of the whole site in one glance. This will become more and more important since you can use the 'Share' button on a file and break inheritance without understanding what you're doing.

  20. Restore "Sign in as a different user"

This is essential and needs to be easy to find instead of hacking the URL every time you need to sign in as a different user.
