limit sharing should be more customized
Only Folder owner should be able to grant access in sharepoint. At present anyone having access can re-grant access to anyone, we want to stop this. But we can limit sharing to site owner only, we need it to be like only library owner can share library, only folder owner can share folder.

Reduce file storage used by version history
Due to auto-saving and the default version history limit in document libraries being 500 versions, we are seeing a lot of files in SharePoint Online taking up hundreds of gigabytes due to there being hundreds of versions. For example yesterday I found that a 2GB PPT file is using over 260GB of storage on a site because it has hundreds of versions.
It would be better if the version history saves were smarter and more efficient, with only file changes saved. As an over-simplified example; if an extra slide is added to a PPT, only the extra slide is saved…

If you want to synchronize document libraries on a SharePoint site with explorers, you want to implement an easier way to synchronize them

SharePoint サイトのドキュメントライブラリを、エクスプローラー上と同期する場合、より簡単に同期する方法を実装してほしい。■Description(内容):
When you synchronize a Document Library on a SharePoint site with Explorer, you must access the site, access the document, click the Sync button, and perform multiple steps.
In order for multiple users to set it up correctly, it is necessary to synchronize more easily, so please implement it.4 votes -
Allow the list and library web parts to resize to show all items without using scroll bars in the web part
The web part includes a Size property with the option to Autosize. However the web part still uses a vertical scrollbar. This results in nested scroll bars - one for the web part and another for the page.
It would be better if the web part size adjusted to the full height of the content. The web page scroll bars can then be used to navigate the content.
The Small, Medium and Large Size options can be used if you want to restrict the web part height.
When the view is configured to group by a column (expanded), the web…

Document lists should sort properly when uploading new files
When you upload a new file to documents it is listed at the top, instead of where it should be according to how you have the sort order set. Please fix this.

Need solution for moving folders that contain more than 5,000 items to a different library
Recently the option to move larger folders to another library has been blocked. Attempting to move a larger folder produces a message "Additional destinations are available for moving smaller items". There needs to be a solution to mover folders such as this. The users are moving folders to an archive library to keep the sync limit down.
Not allowing the larger folder move is counter-productive.

Update version instead of creating ne file while overvriting during copy between two libraries
If a file is updated loaded to a document library that contains a file with the same name we can overwrite it and the old file is kept in the document history, we have the same behavior if we copy files between folders in a library but if we copy files between libraries and overwrite an existing file a completely new file is created and the history is lost.
Please add the possibility to update the file if a new version is copied from another library1 vote -

Remove the "Configuration of the Document ID feature is scheduled to be completed by an automated process." warning message
Recently created libraries show the following in RED even after configuration is complete
"Configuration of the Document ID feature is scheduled to be completed by an automated process."
This is visible on the "Document ID Settings" page.
Once configuration is complete this message should be removed.

Hide restricted document libraries that users do not have access to
Previously if a user did not have access to a document library with restricted permissions, they would not see the library,
These libraries are now visible but the user does not see the content of the library if they do not have access.
The users do not receive an "Access Denied" message when accessing the library.
This leads to users requesting access to these restricted libraries when they are not required to access them.
We would like the library hidden as it was previously for users that do not have access.1 vote -

Support tag extraction from TIFF images
SharePoint automatically extract tags from JPEG files into the Enterprise Keywords column when the files are added to a document library. We want similar functionality for TIFF files, which also contain embedded metadata. One of our clients uses TIFF files in their workflow and relies on keywords for search. Adding keywords in SharePoint after adding them to the TIFF files is a cumbersome duplication of effort.

error code -2146232832
It appears that there was an error in some coding... After searching a document library, if you hit the > to expand the group, an error occurs:
Correlation ID: 371c959f-f048-0000-6ed4-8cc953e46b39
Error code: -2146232832
However, using the > icon before the search, there's not problem. If you click on the text/title of the group, there's not a problem. If you get past the initial search results, using the > doesn't have the error. This navigation is inconsistent and I don't imagine it would take a lot to fix. :)
Thank you.

Zip Files
On SharePoint, when I try to open an Zip file with encrypted contents, it helpfully shows me the manifest. That’s nice -- a list of the files in this Zip “folder”, thank you.
But the “download” button understandably doesn’t work (hey, it’s an encrypted file).
It’s probably a bridge too far to ask SP to decrypt the file with a browser, but “nothing happens” is an inappropriate response, and can confuse users. Repetitive clicking ensues.
Is there any way to improve the UI to let users know that the target file’s encrypted, so they should download the whole…1 vote -
Share Video with Starting Timestamp
When sharing a video from a Sharepoint site (OneDrive too), it would be nice if you could share with a starting timestamp embedded.
Makes it much easier if I need to show someone only one segment of a several hour long presentation, for example.

Lookup Columns
Per https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-list-relationships-by-using-unique-and-lookup-columns-80a3e0a6-8016-41fb-ad09-8bf16d490632 you can create a lookup column from single line of text, date, and number field types. Once this relationship is established, you can then select additional columns from the source list to display as read-only values in your consuming list. Unfortunately, in the current design, this is limited to the same field types. I would like to suggest a design change requesting that all field types (including person fields, etc) are available to be shown in the consuming list.

File Permission Changes
Currently in SharePoint, you can individually change the permission of each folder. However, I need to be able to change the permission of a folder so that the folder cannot be changed but the contents inside of the folder can be changed. Right now you have individually modify the files in the folder so that they have the correct permissions. Its not feasible for our team to individually set the permissions of each file. Changing permissions similar to the way you can do in Server 2019 would be the best fix.
