  1. Required metadata not required when creating new modern file

    I have several columns of required metadata on a modern document library. I can use the New -> Word document, New -> Excel document, etc. and create new files and the system never prompts me to fill in the required information. I feel this should either take place inside of the web based file editor OR prior to the file committing to the Library. Neither takes place.

    Also, when you create a new file and just close it out it also commits a new file to the library without prompting for the required metadata fields.

  2. multiple document check in

    I need to be able to check in multiple documents at once. I cannot be wasting time checking in 30 documents one at a time! This feature is available on classic SharePoint. Why would you remove that?

  3. No Search Bars

    This new view does not have the search bars. We have spent a lot of time teaching our staff to use the search bars. (There used to be two: one to search for files within current folder and one to search the entire site.) Please give them back!!!

  5. SAML Support for OneDrive sync Client SP19 OnPrem

    Our SP19 Server do the authentication against the Azure AD (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/saas-apps/sharepoint-on-premises-tutorial).
    We configured the WebApp to use a Trusted Identity provider. So we use SAML 1.1 an no WinAuth (NTLM).
    Reason behind this ist access for external users and integration of OIDC OAuth 2.0 Apps on Prem.
    When we try to sync files from SP19 OnPrem we get this message "There was a problem connecting to OneDrive"
    This is a no go for our Migration Project. There are about 25’000 Users which are affected!

    Thanks for voging:-)
    Regards,
    Joël

  6. Default Copy Link option should be Those who already have access

    Default Copy Link option should be "Those who already have access" so that the link we get is the pure one and we don't uselessly create a new URL

  7. Delete files

    Please provide clear delete button for deleting files from Outlook 365 Groups.

    I want to delete a file that I accidentally uploaded and cannot find how, it is very frustrating.

  8. Add Calculated columns to Group By Totals

    Calculated columns are groovy but they are useless when used in combination of Group By Totals. The value in the row is not available to any of the Total calculations (Sum, Standard Deviation, etc.). The user is forced to calculate items in a workflow.

  9. Change "Copy Link" button to copy the "Document ID link" (the one with docidredir.aspx)

    It used to be that when you selected a document, and clicked "Copy Link" (in a site where the Document ID feature was enabled), that you would get the "Document ID Link" (the one with docidredir.aspx). Now when you click the "Copy Link" button, you get the so-called "durable" link. The problem with the durable link is twofold:

    1. It is only a durable link for Office documents. For example, if you move a picture file to another location in the library, the link will be broken.

    2. The durability is limited to the library wherein the document is contained. If you…

  10. Sticky Headers

    It would be great if the headings of a document library or list scroll down the page when you are scrolling down the list/library (sticky headings).
    I currently use Jquery in the old experience to do this but the new experience does not allow Jquery and does not have a built in sticky header feature.

  11. File Search

    A file search on every folder screen would be extremely helpful. Especially considering you've added virtual scrolling when the folder contains several files; it can be a little tedious if the file is at the bottom and you have to wait on virtual scrolling to load more than once.

  12. Keep Infopath alive ! We need rich forms in SharePoint.

    We have the tool for that, it just needs a few improvements to become userfriendly (such as automatic name for infopath documents in a Library, easy retrieving for current user properties,...)

  14. Allow setting the number of versions which is to be stored in version history below 100

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名):
    バージョン履歴の保存数について

    Allow setting the number of versions which is to be stored in version history below 100

    ■Description(内容):
    バージョン履歴で保存されるバージョンの数が、最低で 100 に変わっている。以前は 5 などを指定できたのにできなくなり、容量を圧迫し困っているので、以前のように保存するバージョンの数を 100 以下に設定できるようにして欲しい。

    In the version history, the number of versions users can store has changed to at least 100 versions. Previously we were able to specify the number of versions below 100, like 5, but we can’t do it anymore. It is quite inconvenient for us because it uses more space than before.

    For improvement of usability, allow us to set the number of versions to be stored below 100.

    Thank you for…

  15. Enable "View in File Explorer" in Edge

    Please allow "View in File Explorer" in Edge (and other browsers would be nice).

    Windows is CONSTANTLY prompting to switch from IE to Edge, despite several functions only being available in IE.
    The O365 team even went so far as to make IE super easy to login to the portal via the account on which I am already logged into on windows, all the while IE added a "New Tab in Edge" option. Seems like a huge disconnect between Sharepoint and Windows/every other MS team to only allow these features in IE when every other MS team is moving away…

  16. The default "Copy Link" should end with file extension, not with ?csf=1

    The default link created using the "Copy Link" feature adds "?csf=1" after the file extension. This causes issues when trying to open the link directly in user applications. The link should end with the file extension, such as .pdf or .docx. It should be the file path so that authenticated users can use it however they want and not have to open the link in the browser, which doesn't support all file types.

  17. Cmdlet to grant permission to users

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名):
    権限の付与の操作を行うための PowerShell コマンドレットについて

    Cmdlet to grant permission to users

    ■Description(内容):
    現在の SharePoint Online ではサイト内の権限付与の操作は GUI でのみ操作可能となっております。
    サイト内のユーザーが膨大におり、かつフォルダー毎に固有の権限を振るようなシナリオを想定した際、コマンドレットがあると業務効率が格段に上がる期待が持てるため、サイト内の権限付与を事由に行えるコマンドレットの実装を希望します。

    Currently in SharePoint Online, to grant site permission to users, admins need to do it from GUI. However, it will take time and effort in case there are large number of users, or folders which require unique permission.

    For improvement of work efficiency, add a cmdlet to grant users permission freely.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  18. View in File explorer

    The option to View in File Explorer (modern view) and Open with Explorer (classic view) stopped working for our O365 SharePoint document libraries recently. When in modern view if we select the option to View in File Explorer from the list of available library views we see the library return to classic mode but File Explorer never launches. If we attempt to use the Open with Explorer option from Classic mode ( Ribbon> Library Tab> Connect & Export section ) we also see that file explorer never launches. This was working fine for many of our users as of mid…

  19. Disable Folder Upload

    While there is a setting to disable new folder creation users can still upload folders. When trying to enforce metadata this completely throws a wrench in that plan as uses see the "folder" option under Upload in the command bar and clearly would assume it is something that is fine to do. Please add functionality to disable folder uploads through the command bar as well as drag and drop.

  20. Getting back Connecting with Office

    I would like to get the functionality back in Office 2016 to be able to upload document templates connected to the library you are connecting. If its not planned the button in the ribbon for connecting to office don't have a meaning.
