  1. Adding geolocation field to SharePoint Lists

One of the hidden gems in Sharepoint is the new geolocation field. A geolocation field enables you to annotate SharePoint lists with location information. In columns of type Geolocation, you can enter location information as a pair of latitude and longitude coordinates.

For whatever reason, there's no way to add a new geolocation field via the UI. Instead you have to go through some hoops with PowerShell (see: http://zimmergren.net/technical/sp-2013-getting-started-with-the-new-geolocation-field-in-sharepoint-2013) and/or script (see: http://mysharepointinsight.blogspot.com.tr/2013/05/adding-geolocation-field-to-sharepoint.html).

As I understand it, there's an MSI package (SQLSysClrTypes.msi)that must be installed manually on the WFEs in an on premises installation to enable geolocation, but…

    • Prioritize large list management in SharePoint Online

Large list management has to become a priority. Even with the most thought out and careful planning, inevitably something will come up and you need to make a change to a list or library. Once that goes over 5,000 items, it becomes impossible to do anything management related to the list, which actually hinders it's use. Users can continually add files, but you can't do anything to help them.

This has to be addressed in some fashion, whether it is allowing APIs like REST and CSOM to bypass this restriction so they can perform basic administrative operations or giving us…

      • Outlook meeting requests from Calendar lists

We have multiple applications where our users want to integrate a SharePoint calendar with their Outlook calendars and the inability to do this with meeting requests prevents the applications from being really functionally useful.

        • Column totals missing in modern list views

Column totals missing in modern list views.

This is an often used function, and the workaround to set the list back to classic will only be a temporary solution.

          • Allow you to set permissions on views

Allow for permission to be set on views. We would like to be able to use lists for submitting user data but do not want them to see all of the columns available in the list.

            • Support Field level Permissions

SharePoint should support Field-Level permissions. It is very common to need the ability to show/hide field values depending on current user permissions

              • Enable the ability to paste images directly into multi-line text boxs instead of just URLs

Currently you need to paste a URL in a MLTB but if someone is looking to clip and paste a image from their PC, this become a pain. Can we please just paste directly into the MLTB?

                • JSLink on Site Columns

On a list view it is possible to enter a JSLink through the UI.

It is also possible to add a JSLink directly to a Site Column but the only way to do this at the moment is through code or PowerShell.

Please add the ability to manage JSLink on a Site Column through the standard UI settings interface.

                  • Dynamic Column width for default Title column in SharePoint List

Currently the default "Title" column does not have an adjustable width in the new modern SharePoint view only, classic view is unaffected.

So if the column contains 1 row and the cell contains very little text the column width will not adjust to fit the width of the text and leave a large empty space, pushing adjacent columns to the right off the screen.

                    • Numeric non decimal column returns decimal value

When you create a custom numeric column with a setting of 0 decimals in a list, the SharePoint interface lets you to introduce decimal values and it rounds the number after saving. So if you type 1.5 it will be rounded up to 2.

From my point of view, it shouldn't allow to enter decimal values like 1.5, but this is not the "real" problem.

The real problem is that when you retrieve that column value, you will retrieve a 1.5 instead of the 2, which is the value you are seeing in the list using the interface.

                      This means…

                      • Remove the 255 character restriction on Hyperlink fields

There is currently a 255 character restriction on Hyperlink fields. This restriction impedes ability to save Urls that might include hash values are long query strings. Some examples where this is really common are links to SSRS reports (with parameters) and Search urls that contain refinements.

                        • Durable column resizing (so it lasts after a page refresh)

When columns are resized could it apply permanently to the view?
The sizing of columns, text and padding in the modern list view means less information displays compared to the classic list view.
This can be ameliorated somewhat by resizing of columns, but on refreshing the list the resizing disappears. Given how painstaking the resize process is (it seems time consuming getting the cursor in just the right position - perhaps I'm trying in the wrong place, I do it in the column header zone) I'd rather only have to resize once rather than each time I load the list…

                          • Allow lookup columns brought up from different list into calculated columns

Dear Microsoft, this limitation causes a huge impact in our organization - we have been trying to migrate from MS Access into Share Point due to the collaboration it brings, but the limitation of not being able to use "lookup columns" from other lists into "calculated columns" is pretty bad. It affects negatively our ability to compare and do calculation with values from different fields. The whole purpose of MS Access is to run these queries, but since MS shifted to Share Point we thought that was possible as it not. Please do what it takes to make this happen! …

                            • Allow survey list owners and administrators to view the incomplete survey user names

Allow survey list owners and administrators to view the incomplete survey user names. When the survey went live, the count showing at overview.aspx under "Number of Responses:" doesn't match the actual number or responses shown in "all responses".

Is possible to give any view or option to owners of the list to check the incomplete survey user names.

It will helpful for all. Thanks

                                • Remove the limit of 5000 items as result in a view

You can have millions of items in a list, but as soon as the view you are using returns more than 5000 ítems then you get an error, the only solution is to create filters and indexes to this view, and it has to be done before reaching the 5000 ítems limit, otherwise there won't be a way to create the indexes / filters.
I know about this workaround because I created a support case in Microsoft Premium, here you have the reference: [REG:116022413747778] Sharepoint History list has been lost or can't be seen

                                  • Freeze Column Headers

Would love to see the ability to freeze column headers at the top of the page when a user scrolls through a long list.

                                    • Provide deeper examples and API Documentation on Display Templates

The documentation for display template utilized by the new search web parts is very minimal and at best gives you a starting point. It requires painful debugging and examination of the JavaScript to see what key functions are doing to be able to do anything really more than just mapping a few additional managed properties to a template. These are functions like Srch.U.getTrimmedString(string,length).

Also, when traversing blogs, there doesn't seem to be an agreed method for adding post render callbacks for display templates. I have seen both of the following:

                                      ctx.OnPostRender = []; ctx.OnPostRender.push(function(){...});

                                      and

                                      AddPostRenderCallback(ctx, function() {...});

                                      Better documentation…

                                      • improve the incidendt within a modern UI's custom list along with the setting to delete only the [items that were created by the user].

I am aware of the event in a a modern UI's custom list that can delete some different items along with the setting to delete only the [items that were created by the user].
*The settings applied: [List Settings]- Set [Create and Edit access] within the right category per items to [items that were created by the user]
I request you improve the behavior mentioned above immediately so as to delete exclusively the items created by the users themselves.
