    Better data mining for lists and libraries. An app to filter list data based on criteria and then select columns and rows based on the filters. Allow multiple selections for column and row.

  2. Prioritize large list management in SharePoint Online

    Large list management has to become a priority. Even with the most thought out and careful planning, inevitably something will come up and you need to make a change to a list or library. Once that goes over 5,000 items, it becomes impossible to do anything management related to the list, which actually hinders it's use. Users can continually add files, but you can't do anything to help them.

    This has to be addressed in some fashion, whether it is allowing APIs like REST and CSOM to bypass this restriction so they can perform basic administrative operations or giving us…

    Hi everyone, I’m happy to announce that the ability to add indexes to lists of any size is available to SharePoint Online customers as of March 2018. You can now go to “Indexed columns” in List or Library Settings page, and add indexes even if your list has more than 5,000 items. For up to 20,000 items, the indexing should be near instantaneous. For lists with more than 20,000 items, indexing will use a background process and may take some time, usually minutes, but possibly longer if there are a lot of items and if SharePoint is busy serving other requests. Similarly, you are also able to remove indexes that you no longer need.

  4. Automate populate Person field with [Me] value

    It would be helpful to be able to automatically populate a List Person field with the name of the user adding an item to a list. Option would need to allow for easily overriding the automatic entry.

  5. Fix the issue of disappearing list items

    Fix the issue of list items disappearing and reappearing.

    We have an ongoing issue with list items randomly disappearing, not available in search, etc., only to have them reappear hours later or sometimes not at all. This makes things very inefficient for our project team, which relies heavily on SP lists to manage our work. It's been reported multiple times but MS keeps closing the issue as they can't recreate it. (Because it's random - duh).

  9. Print button for lists

    An option to add a print button to the menu would help improve useability as a common issue I've come across with lists is users wanting to be able to print easily

  10. Enable 'Export to Excel' on non-IE Browsers

    We can use the 'Export to Excel' functionality in lists and libraries in Internet Explorer, but it doesn't work in Chrome or other browsers, even though the ribbon button is enabled. Instead, we get errors that look something like this:

    As I understand it, this is because the functionality uses ActiveX. However, in this modern world we know that people are using different browsers very frequently. This should work in all browsers or at least fall back to a CSV…

  11. Ability to lock columns in Datasheet view

    As a SPOL user I want the ability to lock column heading/columns while viewing a list in a Datasheet view. With the current functionality if you have a very long list of items, or many columns then the user can easily get lost.

  13. Graph SharePoint list data

    I use sharepoint lists data in combination with Tableau and Power BI to give graphs. SharePoint 365 you can only use Excel and it's not live and can't auto refresh. Having the ability to get graphs and pivot graphs onto a sharepoint page from a list would be an awesome feauture.

  14. Re-establish Content Type for list items PLEASE

    What's happening? The Content Type drop-down menu suddenly disappeared from the NEW Item list dialog box! If we EDIT an item in Dialog box mode, the content type drop-down is available. My new client is VERY unhappy about being inable to select a content type (one of 11) to enter new data.

  15. Allow lookup columns brought up from different list into calculated columns

    Dear Microsoft, this limitation causes a huge impact in our organization - we have been trying to migrate from MS Access into Share Point due to the collaboration it brings, but the limitation of not being able to use "lookup columns" from other lists into "calculated columns" is pretty bad. It affects negatively our ability to compare and do calculation with values from different fields. The whole purpose of MS Access is to run these queries, but since MS shifted to Share Point we thought that was possible as it not. Please do what it takes to make this happen! …

  17. Enable the ability to paste images directly into multi-line text boxs instead of just URLs

    Currently you need to paste a URL in a MLTB but if someone is looking to clip and paste a image from their PC, this become a pain. Can we please just paste directly into the MLTB?

  18. Lookup on lists over 5,000

    Lookup Columns that go to a list that contains more than 5000 items does not work even if that list is indexed. Indexing allows users to see items in the list in a normal view, but when trying to do a lookup to that list from another site or library, there is no filtering applied. It would be nice if some filtering could be applied to the lookup feature to help narrow the results shown in the lookup.

    Allow survey list owners and administrators to view the incomplete survey user names. When the survey went live, the count showing at overview.aspx under "Number of Responses:" doesn't match the actual number or responses shown in "all responses".

    Is possible to give any view or option to owners of the list to check the incomplete survey user names.

  20. Discussion List Threading

    The new default look for discussion lists is beautiful, but we need to be able to easily see threaded replies. For example, if I'm replying to an existing reply, the only indication that it's in response to an existing reply is the note "In response to Sally Jenkin's post". It's not visually associated with the reply (not ordered underneath it, much less indented to see a series of replies). Threading would be tremendously beneficial. I've seen several forum posts that take you through changing the view to a standard list view, but that takes away from the clean design.
