Microsoft Lists (introduced in May 2020) have many new features. Finally, the average user can easily hide and reorder fields in list forms. Even conditional hiding is now available. However, the biggest hole in the feature set is still there, 19 years after SharePoint 2001. Will this feature make it to the 20th anniversary? I certainly hope so. Anyone interested in choice fields in SharePoint lists (or libraries for that matter) will also be interested in cascading choice fields, sooner rather than later. If your company is present in 50 countries and 100 cities, you don't want the user to wade through 100 cities once a country is selected. Now do you, Microsoft? A term set hierarchy is not the same thing, scripting is too complicated for the average user, and a content type with a site column only allows two levels. Sometimes you need cascading choice fields on three, four or five levels. Multiple values should also be supported, out of the box. If I select France and Italy in the Country field, the City field should only allow Paris, Lyon, Rome and Milan. Microsoft, please fill this obvious hole in the feature set!

I had a large document library that used files as the key. My file names were formatted as a date followed by a short description. I decided to move the date into a separate column so I could sort based on the date. I created the new column and then went into grid view to manually add all of the dates to the new column and remove them from the file names. When I went to exit grid view it told me I had to fix errors but it didn't in any way tell me what the errors were. It did tell me which rows the errors were on but it wasn't obvious what the problem was until I exited grid view without saving my changes and went to change the filenames manually and it pointed out that it was a duplicate file name once the date was removed. Can someone please add a description of what the error is or make it more obvious about how to find it? Thanks.

このメッセージを "検索対象ではありません" 等の任意のメッセージに変更する機能の実装を要望します。

If, in the “Advanced settings” page for a list or library, the “Show this list’s items in search results” is set to “No”, using the search box displayed at the top of said list or library in the Modern UI results in the message “There are no items that match your search” being shown. I would like to be able to change this to a specified message such as “This is not searchable”.

It used to be possible to attach files to the body text when editing custom list items, but when it changed to the new Rich Text Editor (RTE) there is no way to do this. Thus, in order to attach a file, it is necessary to “return to Classic experience”.
Therefore, please add the menu to attach files back in for the new Rich Text Editor (RTE) when editing custom list items, like there was before.

選択肢列に説明を登録している。
リスト アイテムの作成画面や編集画面で選択肢列の位置が画面の下部にある場合、選択肢のドロップダウンが画面の上部に表示され、登録している説明が表示されるが、選択肢列の位置が上部にある場合、選択肢のドロップダウンが下部に表示され、説明が隠れて見えなくなってしまう。
常に選択肢列の説明が表示できるように、ドロップダウンを上部に表示する機能の提供を要望します。

We have descriptions added to selection columns.
If the selection column is at the bottom of either the list item creation screen or the editing screen, the selection dropdown appears above it on the screen, so the descriptions are visible. However, if the selection column is at the top, then the dropdown appears below it and obscures the description.
Please add a way to have the dropdown always open upwards so that it won’t obscure descriptions.

The new Create List options are nice - but really unworkable for uploading content to a new list where the number of rows to be uploaded is >50 items.

Seriously?! I can load a list of 50 items by hand if I have to, but where this option is really needed is to transfer a list of several hundred items (e.g. a corporate glossary or FAQs tabulation) from an original Excel (or csv) worksheet into a SharePoint List for easier team maintenance or exposure on a SharePoint Comms site.

Please make the row limit optionally configurable when creating a new list from an excel table. We should be able to load all rows as required for a larger list.

Please give us the option to upload from CSV as well, without having to format the csv content as an Excel table.
