Allow creation of headings & sections without links
Currently only links with associated URL's can be added. It would be great to be able to add headings without associated links to assist with grouping

We have added support for labels on the hub navigation.

Enable custom columns for modern pages
Consistent with the classic "publishing" use case, would like the ability to add custom columns to modern site pages and make these columns editable in the page properties UI in the Site Pages document library.
An extension of this would allow editing of the page properties on the page itself, similar to custom page layouts on classic publishing pages.

You can now add custom columns on the site pages library.

Make the Delve organization chart available as a web part in regular sites.
The current "organization browser" web part :
The html view is just a list = not worth the time
You need silverlight to get a visual presentation but:
-nobody uses silverlight
-silverlight isn't compatible with modern browsers (because no one uses it)
The silverlight rendition in IE is appallingly ugly and isn't responsive. To have a functional attractive org chart seems like a no brainer for a service that claims to be "enterprise" ready. It's already built in Deleve so just make it available as a web part.

Comment notifications
An alert option for leaving comments. At the moment there is no way of finding out if people left a comment.
242 votesHello! Push notifications to the SP mobile app for comments and replies on modern pages and news posts is in prod.
Emails for comment and replies on pages and news posts are rolling out.
Please see this tech community post for details: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-SharePoint-Blog/April-2019-Updates-to-SharePoint-News/ba-p/481718

Change page or news page authors
please add the possibility to modify the page author so e.g. the comms dept is able to add news posts from the Executives. The People Web Part is not sufficient for our business request and a general editors account is not allowed.

In the new title area, you’re able to list any author as the page/news author.

Add News Article Metadata
Add News Article Metadata
When adding a news article (site page) on Communication Sites, through the new interface, it would be great to be able to populate additional metadata for the page.
This could be along the lines of tagging pages with keywords for searching through articles or adding custom metadata.
203 votesWe’ve enabled custom metadata on pages and news in Sites last year and forgot to mark this complete.
See the blog about it here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-SharePoint-Blog/Structure-your-intranet-page-metadata-coming-to-SharePoint-in/ba-p/212555
If you have additional asks, like the commentor asking for AND/OR control in news filtering, please search and find a suggestion to vote for, or open a new once.

Hide page title in the Modern UI sites
*English follows Japanese
■Title(件名):
モダン UI のサイトにおいて、ページのタイトル エリアを削除できるようにしたいHide page title in the Modern UI sites
■Description(内容):
モダン UI のサイトにおいて、タイトルを入力しない場合でもタイトル エリアのスペースが残ってしまう。ページのタイトルを入力しない場合には、不要なスペースとなるためページのタイトル エリアを削除をできるよう機能拡充を要望します。In the Modern UI sites, even though no title is entered, page title area still remains.
For removing this unnecessary space, in case there is no title entered, allow hiding the page title.Thank you for your consideration.
3 votesYou can choose between four title area sizes & layouts. The smallest one (plain) simply shows the title with no image on one line. Click the pencil on the left hand side of the title area to access these settings.
-
Hub site navigation size
Please make the navigation items of the Hub site navigation bigger. More in taste of the command bar for instance or the normal site navigation. It is to small at the moment and I get a lot of comments on this from clients.
Thanks in advance,

Is that able to completely remove Page Title Area or minimize it size?

Make Column formatting real easy and not with JSon
Column formatting in SharePoint online.
Why so complicated that you have to use Json.
It doesn't fit in with the idea of modern pages and modern UI.
Should be as simple as selecting a format....62 votesboom! it's done ·AdminSharePoint UserVoice Admin (SharePoint UserVoice Admin, Microsoft SharePoint) responded
We have released a bunch of new templates for both column and view formatting. That should now be available in SharePoint Online.
If you are seeing specific customization that aren’t working, please open a support ticket so we can track it down.

Conditional formatting system as in Excel
Conditional formatting system as in Excel
For Sharepoint to be customized easily for power users or advanced users without coding experience, JSON is a nightmare
Users should have the choice to opt for graphic (excel type) or coding system to format each column

We just rolled out a Column formatting template – “Conditional Formatting”, that allows users to create if/else/then statements.

Remove banner and header title from modern pages
I would like to be able to remove the header from the new/modern "Pages". When I add a new page on SharePoint online now, I love the new page except for the top header image and text which takes up about a 3rd of the page. It's wasted space and not aesthetically pleasing.
276 votesThere are two requests in this one item. Based on the title, I’m going to mark this done with our work to add four layouts to the title area. One of these layouts is called “Plain” and shows only one line of page title, with no image.
Many of the comments are asking for another great feature, not related to the page title area, but rather the site header. We’re also working on allowing options to resize this area. We’ve added a “compact view” for the site header, and have plans for an even more minimized view. If this feature is what you’d like to upvote, please add a new UserVoice request.

Add managed metadata as filter option in Highlighted Content webpart in Modern Pages
Filter options now only include title or content search, and managed properties.
Adding managed metadata will improve this powerful webpart!

Freeze Column Headers
Would love to see the ability to freeze column headers at the top of the page when a user scrolls through a long list.

Conditional Formatting for List fields.
For status, I have a choice field in a list. In order to have it change colors, I have to produce some ridiculous JSON. Please have a look at SmartSheet. They have a completely simple way to enable conditional formatting.

Title Banner on Modern Pages
Please provide the capability to change the header of the new modern pages (i.e. the large banner graphic on which the title is sitting. It currently means page content starts half-way down the screen which isn't the best use of space.
736 votesModern pages now have different layouts for the tile area that support showing only the title and no image. There are four supported layouts today: Image and title, Plain, Color block, and Overlap.
If you’d like to conserve space and not show an image, please select “Plain”.

Allow existing site pages to be added to the "News"
I see these pages have a "Promoted State" and "FirstPublishedDate" that are used to determine if a page should be shown as News, but these properties cannot be changed. I want to be able to take an existing site page, and publish it as News.
Alternatively, you could let me publish news to a library separate from the site pages so I'm not cluttering my wiki page library.
55 votesYou can use the promote button on a modern page to promote a current page and make it news.

Page templates for Modern Pages and Libraries that allow removal of elements and reuse
Allow page authors to design page templates right in the Page Edit UI. Page edit would allow them to remove the Title Banner, Logo, left navigation, Edit link, New Link, Share Link, Search box and save the template for reuse.
Page Templates would support web parts and new developed custom JS controls for things like custom navigation controls.
206 votesWe’ve shipped modern page templates, and it’s now at 100% WW.
You can see the announcement here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-SharePoint-Blog/SharePoint-News-Enhancements-March-2019/ba-p/366585
If you have additional suggestions on capabilities you need, please add a new UserVoice suggestion. Thank you.

Highlighted Content Web Part - Add AND OR for multiple filters
Adding multiple filters defaults to OR. In other words adding multiple filters finds more items, rather than finding the intersection of the two filters. You need to be able to specify AND or OR between multiple filters in the web part.
189 votesRealized we never updated this after shipping the ability to add your own Custom query. You can see the help article here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-the-highlighted-content-web-part-e34199b0-ff1a-47fb-8f4d-dbcaed329efd#bkmk_customquery
At this time we don’t intend to add AND/OR clause capabilities into the drop down UX.
