This is an often used function, and the workaround to set the list back to classic will only be a temporary solution.

Dynamic Column width for default Title column in SharePoint List
Currently the default "Title" column does not have an adjustable width in the new modern SharePoint view only, classic view is unaffected.
So if the column contains 1 row and the cell contains very little text the column width will not adjust to fit the width of the text and leave a large empty space, pushing adjacent columns to the right off the screen.

Thanks for your feedback! We’re happy to report that your suggestion is now part of persistent column widths. The column width can be saved as part of the view and each user’s preference will be saved in local storage.

Allow Javascript customization and CSS branding/theming in the new Document Library Experience
Please allow javascript customization and css branding/theming in the new document library experience. A custom cross-site navigation is one example that is used by many customers. Also many customers want their intranet branded in a different color but office ui fabric blue.
JSLink is also used very often. And don't Forget about all the third-party forms solution provider like Nintex and others.
The new experience provides many advantages, but without customizations it is just not usable for larger intranets anymore.930 votesboom! it's done ·AdminSharePoint UserVoice Admin (SharePoint UserVoice Admin, Microsoft SharePoint) responded

missing search box in modern lists
On the classic sharepoint there is a search box that is very helpful. Please add that to the new look.
176 votesSearch in SharePoint is contextual, so if you are viewing a list or document library, the search is scoped to that list or library.

A simple move/copy function between SharePoint Online Document libraries/folders/files
SharePoint Online Document Libraries are missing possibly the two most basic and fundamental functions in the online portal:
- A move/cut function, which is missing altogether, both for folders and files
- A copy function, which although technically exists, is really over complicated for a function which has existed in a much simpler form in every document repository technology since the mid-1980s...
Currently, in order to move a file or folder from within the online portal between different libraries or even different folders within the same library...well the function just doesn't exist. So users need to either sync the site just to…

Introduce markdown syntax for authoring content
As a systems engineer/developer, I love the office 365/sharepoint platform. The one thing that's stops me from using it for everything is the lack of a productive way to generate content.
Editing content in the UI is horrendously slow and painful, I just want to be able to author content quickly with markdown syntax, and publish my content/documentation quickly and easily.
What's microsofts standpoint on this? Am i the first to request this? (i highly doubt i'm the only one who wants this...)
Cheers,
Morgan

We’ve recently rolled out a markdown web part for modern pages that enables users more familiar with creating content in this syntax, to create pages using this method. Go forth and make beautiful pages :)

Allow users to complete required metadata when uploading documents.
Allow users to complete required metadata when uploading documents using the modern library view. Currently, users are not prompted to complete required fields or select a content type. As a result, the file is left in a checked-out state unless the user knows to edit the properties as a second step after uploading. This breaks sites that have structured metadata and/or specific content type usage requirements. SharePoint has always prompted for these required fields in the past, why remove that functionality?
51 votesboom! it's done ·AdminSharePoint UserVoice Admin (SharePoint UserVoice Admin, Microsoft SharePoint) responded
When you upload a file to a library with required metadata, the details pane opens and prompts you to enter those field values.
We’re investigating how we can bring this experience of Office Online as well – no timelines that we can commit to yet for that.

Copy document to same library
When using the "Copy" function in a library, it seems the intention is to create a copy of the document in another library.
But when users want to just create a copy of a document in the same location with a different file name, SharePoint throws an error.
Why can the copy function not simply allow a new copy in the same library with a different filename?
40 votesboom! it's done ·AdminSharePoint UserVoice Admin (SharePoint UserVoice Admin, Microsoft SharePoint) responded
Thanks for the feedback! We’re going to call this one done as the specific action of copying a selected item to the same library is supported in the modern UX. If there are other related scenarios you have feedback on please open and drive support with new suggestions. Thanks!

Replace URL spaces with dashes instead of %20
Please change how SharePoint generates links to uploaded documents and site pages, so that URLs with spaces will replace %20 with a dash instead. Most CMS tools including blogs do when generating SEO friendly URLs. Links with %20 throughout are too difficult to read.
This feedback site is a perfect example:
This:

drag and drop images in wiki pages and blogs
other CMS systems already allow this functionality. Instead of having to save an image somewhere and then upload it to SharePoint, let me just drag / drop images on the wiki and blog pages. Would be ideal for screenshots
