  1. Provide an option to set the default Search Scope to the entire hub in associated sites

We have content in our hub site (SharedDocuments folder) that users expect to find in associated sites. The hub is good at pulling content from associated sites but it doesn't seem that the associated sites pull in search results from the hub. It would be nice if we could set the default scope in the associated site to be the hub (or all sites). Right now they have to search, get no results, then click on the link search all sites instead or use the breadcrumb to get the desired results.

  2. Provide ability to move hub navigation below site navigation

In some scenarios, we don't need the site navigation, only the hub navigation when our navigation for the hub is global and it would be preferable to have that row below the site navigation so it is closer to the content the user is engaging with..

  3. Hub site names must be unique

Enforce unique names for Hubs. Under Hub Site Settings, site admins can rename the Hubs and use an existing name. This is problematic. Other sites that want to associate themselves with the Hub won't know which Hub to pick if they see more than one on the dropdown. It also presents other issues on reporting, etc.

  4. Navigation disappears when zooming on hub site

On Chrome, when zoom set to 125%, all the navigation elements disappear from the page. If assets need to be removed, the navigation should definitely stay.

  5. Modern Search with Hub sites

I'm currently working with a Global fortune 500 organization on migrating from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online. They are fully embracing the modern experiences, however we're finding certain aspects of the new experiences are confusing to end users, and a significant amount of change management is required to help them understand how it's functioning.

SUGGESTION: The modern search experience's default text in the box is "Search Across Sites". What this is doing is actually searching across the sites configured in the current hub. What would be FAR more intuitive for end users is if the default text leveraged the name…

  6. Associate an individual site with a hub

The use case is: one site collection for HR that at the top level is regional. Subsites would then be created for each country in the language of the country. Each country has a hub site with multiple site collections or sites associated with it. The HR site for that country would be one of those sites.
The advantage is that HR (or Health & Safety) just stay in one place to maintain all their content.

  7. Invalidate displaying sites from "Hub Site association" in conjunction with deletion.

    *English follows Japanese

    ■Title(件名): ハブサイトの削除時の動作について機能の変更を希望します。

Invalidate displaying sites from "Hub Site association" in conjunction with deletion.
    ***************
    ■Description(内容):
    ハブサイトとして登録したサイトをハブサイトとしての登録を解除せずに削除した場合、"ハブサイトの関連付け" に表示され続ける動作かと存じます。事前に解除をせずとも、削除済みのサイトに関しては "ハブサイトの関連付け" から表示されなくなるよう動作の変更を希望します。

When a site registered as a Hub Site has deleted without deregistering, after that it is continuing to be displayed as a site in the "Hub site association" consecutively by current design.

It would be nice if the functionality will be improved that can delete displaying sites from "Hub Site association" in conjunction with deletion without canceling the registration.

  9. Enhance Hub Sites with the ability to centrally manage all alerts of associated sites

Aggregate all alerts from associated sites' lists & users. Add/edit/delete them from a central location.

  10. Hub Sites doesn't support adding page title banner image.

When adding a background image via "Change the Look," the page loads and the image flashes for one second in the title banner but then returns to a solid color. I would like to be able to add an image to the title banner as well as add an image or color to the page background.

  11. When removing the Quick Launch from navigation, the SEARCH bar is also removed!

Separate the SEARCH function from the Quick Launch. I'd like to disable Quick Launch when switching from Seattle to Oslo look and feel but this also removes the SEARCH box. There is then no way to add back the SEARCH box via a web part or other OOTB method.

  12. SharePoint Hub Site Mega Menu layout change

This is a change request on how the hub site mega menu aligns when it appears after you hover over a top level menu item in the hub site mega menu.

When the mega menu appears it aligns directly under the top level menu item in the hub site navigation bar. Top level menu items are added from the left to the right and as you add more items you get less and less space to see your mega menu because of the alignment directly under the top level menu item.

My request is to NOT align the mega menu…

  13. Change Footer background color

it would be great to have possibility to change footer bg color.. the same way as we can change header and section background color.

  14. Footer of the Hub site to propagate to all associated sites like the Hub menu

The footer of a Hub Site should be propagated along with the Hub menu and the look and feel to all the associated sites.

  15. More filtering and sorting options for Websites webpart

We are using hub websites as an entry point for our employees to navigate through all the different teamwebsites that are associated to them, mostly customer projects or internal stuff. With the current implementation of the Websites webpart, it is not possible to give a meaningful overview of all the websites that are connected.
Currently there are three options for what websites to show:
    - All websites in hub
    - Highly frequented sites specific for user (translation is probably off, using german version)
    - Manually select websites

The problem with the first is that the sorting is not clear and…

  16. Updates to HUB homepage

There are some things i think would be useful for the initial landing page on the hub (and maybe something that can be removed!)

    1. How do i book a room?
    2. Link to the Image Bank.
    3. Link to the mandatory staff training
    4. Link to Advantage
    5. Link to Branding / Corporate templates.
    6. Link to Qlikview.

I also think the 'My Salford' link should be removed. The content in My Salford duplicates what the hub is providing and doesnt appear to be maintained.

  17. Add option to stop hub sites forcing themes on associated sites

As much as I like the concept of hub sites giving a common theme and navigation across associated sites, sometimes (quite often in fact) I'd like the associated sites to only inherit the navigation and not the theme itself.

I have a department that uses our company colours for each of their teams within it. I have SharePoint theme's of our company colours, but if I group them in a hub I lose those themes. Or I don't associate them lose the navigation across them.

All I'm really asking for is an option to not inherit the theme. Or I…

  18. Associated Sites Listing

We need a listing of the associated sites with the hub site that is security trimmed and performs well. We have several hundred projects ongoing at once, each with their own site associated with a single hub site. We can put the 'Sites' web part on the page, but that has a limit of 99 sites and is not sortable. The 'See All' mechanism does sort alphabetically, but it is displaying the 'Cards', not just a list and after 60 or so sites, the page takes forever to load.

  19. Nieuws van teamsite automatisch delen in HUB (via link oid)

Ik wil het nieuws dat op de 'teamsite' geplaatst wordt, automatisch in de 'Hub' site zien. Hoe doe ik dat?
