Custom restrictions of file types that user can upload to a document library.
SharePoint Online. We really need to set some restrictions of file types that user can upload to a document library.
For example, to deny upload file with extension .bmp and .tiff.

It might help with SOX section 404 compliance too, if IT can control uploads for MSI, EXE, RAR, ZIP etc to SPO and OneDrive

We need it on SharePoint Team Site (SharePoint Online).
We would like to have an opportunities to restrict of file types for upload, for example, only JPG, DOCX, PDF etc. Or on the contrary, to deny to upload BMP, TIFF, AVI, MPG etc. -

I would like this control for both team sites and OneDrive for Business. I work in k12 education and we use office 365 with our students and they tend to like to store movies, games and other files that are not really necessary for their education in their Onedrive for business. If we could restrict file types we could prevent them from getting off task a little better.
