Freeze Column Headers
Would love to see the ability to freeze column headers at the top of the page when a user scrolls through a long list.

This would make using lists so much easier. I recommend just adding a checkbox in the View to freeze or unfreeze the header row. People will want the ability to freeze columns I'm sure, but starting with the header would be a great start.

I've been asked about this by two different clients in the past week. In both cases when working on large lists. Perhaps make this an optional setting.

Agree with Cindy below -- how did List/Library get out of QA without the freeze header rows capability? It's a basic requirement for lists beyond one screenful.

How the product got out of QA without the ability to view column headings on lists that require scrolling is beyond me. This is just very basic functionality that makes working in lists nearly impossible.

This needs to be available in the Online version

We recently flipped from SharePoint 2010, where this functionality was available, to SharePoint 365, where we currently do not have this option. This is a dire need for our organization as we primarily work out of Quick Edit and easily lose track of which column updates are made to. The current alternatives are very time-intensive. Please consider adding this functionality!

Yes please! Freeze header row, or freeze columns, like in an excel spreadhseet.
And resizing of column width would be awesome too!

It doesn't take a very big list before this becomes an issue.

Suggestion 1:
For lists, I suggest freezing the pane below the column header row. What is annoying for years in SharePoint is that one can never see the column headers as one scrolls down the list. Maybe provide a setting or option to display column headers as one scrolls down a list.Suggestion 2:
After switching to Quick edit view in a list, it's impossible to resize the width of columns. I miss this option, which used to exist in the datasheet view in earlier versions of SharePoint. Let users resize the column widths. -

Definitely a much needed feature for long lists and working with other integrated products like Flow. Thank you in advance for making freeze top row a priority for SharePoint Lists!

Please add this functionality soon. It is very difficult for our users to work with long lists without this.
