Regarding the way not to send invitation
In case I invite users or invite security groups users to SharePoint group, I wish not to send invitations.
Although I know that I will be able not to send them by unchecking check box,I need to uncheck it after clicking "View options". I would possibly forget to uncheck the box because by default mail sending has been already set. I request that the display of "Send an email invitation" be clearly shown without my clicking "View options". The reason is why many of our users will inquire us, asking about "what kinds of e-mails". Or, it could be better if you set the item of "Send an email invitation" by default. I do not desire any Exception Settings in mailboxes or any uses of
security group without e-mails since I want to receive notification mails in workflows.

When I am setting up a site collection with possibly dozens of document libraries with unique permission sets, it is almost a certainty that I am going to forget to uncheck that damn checkbox and send out notifications to people for an incomplete SharePoint site.
Every bit of training I have attended or read about this, always has a reminder to turn off this checkbox.
So hey Microsoft, how about a reasonable response and turning it off by default and giving us at least control over it at the site collection level!
Would be great if there was an option at the site collection level to alter this behavior.
It would be best if this defaulted to NOT send an email, and second best would be to display the checkbox without clicking "View More." Unfortunately this often ends up with users accidentally sending email invitations to large groups. I can imagine what might happen if they use that button with our global permission group. This seems so simple to fix??

Don't see any advantages in this. If there's no other way set the default option to Not send an e-mail.

90% of the time I do not want to send an email. A setting at the tenant and site level to control the default behavior would be great. For example, a checkbox do dictate whether sending an email is the default behavior or not.

Yep, I accidently sent a boatload of invites to a large group of high level people for a site that wasn't ready. Thanks Microsoft.
Default to e-mail invited people is a bad idea and hiding the option is even worst. I cannot believe this decision to do this. Please remove it as default or better yet the option to allow us to change it either way. With the light grey font it's easy to miss that there are more options. In fact the small light grey font and white space all over the place is another issue.
