Highlighted Content Web Part - Add AND OR for multiple filters
Adding multiple filters defaults to OR. In other words adding multiple filters finds more items, rather than finding the intersection of the two filters. You need to be able to specify AND or OR between multiple filters in the web part.

Realized we never updated this after shipping the ability to add your own Custom query. You can see the help article here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/use-the-highlighted-content-web-part-e34199b0-ff1a-47fb-8f4d-dbcaed329efd#bkmk_customquery
At this time we don’t intend to add AND/OR clause capabilities into the drop down UX.

In response to the comment from the Sites Product Team about the ability to use CAML syntax - most of my users have absolutely no clue about how to form queries using text alone. They need WYSIWYG controls that allow them to structure their queries, choosing between AND, OR, or a combination thereof . Please prioritise this one to the top of the backlog

Like others, I am trying to implement this otherwise very useful web part and finding that the inability to specify AND instead of OR is going to cause significant problems in my site design.

Please extend the webparts functionality to be able to use both AND and OR for proper querying! This was possible in SharePoint Online, this is nothing new. With just OR available, you kill search driven intranets.

Please! Like others have stated, this restriction limits our ability and our strategy for surfacing content!.

We NEED this. The OR operator as a default completely kills the potential of this web part. It COULD be so flexible with this small addition.

This really is needed. Please develop.

I have at least 20 different places around the site I'm wanting to use this component but because of the asinine filtering and/or decisions, it only works for about 3 of them. I'm having to install my own "CQWP" style search webpart as this is so broken. Please get in and fix this

Need this feature otherwise this webpart is useless for most of our usecases.

Just found this myself. This is needed, filters seem to default to just an "OR" scenario. That doesn't work for my use case. I need an AND combination.

I've just implemented a search schema to solve a business problem and now have found that this is defaulting to OR which is no use. I'm now going to have to redesign the whole schema.

This is a definite oversight. Without this functionality I really don't see the use in this web part. Please please fix asap.
