Modern pages, lists and libraries look great and all fit together nicely.
The other main thing we use here is the calendars which are still looking classic, which means inconsistencies in the quick links layout as well as other things which viewing a calendar.
I can't find anything about when Calendars are going to be modernized.
Thank you for submitting this suggestion and voting on it. We have two events/calendar solutions in modern pages today. The events web part has card based event tiles, powered by events lists. You can roll-up events from multiple sites into one page, but there isn’t currently a wall calendar view.
Alternatively you can select to leverage a group calendar, and pull all of your events (including recurring events) from Exchange. This too is a compact card based view.
While we understand a wall calendar view is desirable, we’re not working on it at this time.

Wall calendar and the ability to handle recurring event is needed
+1 for a modern calendar. The current legacy calendar list system is a massive disappointment.
This is a huge limitation. Especially missing the ability to combine calendars. Please fix it!

The calendar solution for modern pages is not sufficient. There is no ability to have recurring events and there is no built in calendar view without using the clunky Embed web part solution. We need to be able to have simple calendars on sub sites and that use to be a 2 minute setup. Now there is no complete option available. Not to mention the lack of ability to do color overlays anymore.
Just because Microsoft doesn't use calendars in their own innerworkings, doesn't mean other companies and organizations don't find it extremely useful to have that ability on their web sites. Especially since it had been in SharePoint for over a decade.
Please add colour categories and a weekly view. Currently the UX is awful! Users don't want to see +2 more, + 3 more.... They want to get a quick overview.
I need the ability to decide what shows in the events on the calendar view.
What I have in modern right now is a calendar view that cannot really be modified. There is no option for a content editor webpart, and there is no built-in way to turn off the times that are always visible in each displayed event.
Is this not in any plans? I have found dozens and dozens of people asking for the ability to hide the times in an event calendar, but no answers for modern.

Microsoft has released modern calendar views in SharePoint online recently.
Using this new feature you can create calendar views on any modern SharePoint online / Microsoft lists.
Then you can embed this calendar view on modern pages using Embed web part. For more information and step by step process check below articles:

Please allow the default calendar.aspx view to display colour categories like it does in other views from Lists. That would make it complete in a modern setting.

The Modern Calendar view is hamstrung by the inability to filter what items appear in it. From SharePoint Designer I can see that the Modern Calendar view uses a CAML query to select items, but modifying this query seems to have no effect on what actually appears in the view.
What good is a list view that can't filter?
Let me add my comment as well. The new Calendar View is nice - would be even better with the ability to configure it with filters and JSON like other columns formatting. That would get us in a better place. Allow us to use that view on a Modern Page - that would be even better. And we would love to have overlays back or some way to rollup the calendars - especially across a hub.
Modern lists now have a calendar view - Great! But the work is not done - the list web part also needs to supports the calendar view. The calendar view is not a nice to have, it is a need to have. "Not In Our Plans Right Now" is not consistent with other user voice responses - please keep the updates up to date.

I would like to really emphasize this. We have a large population of users in our tenant with sites caught in the in-between state of modern and classic because we are lacking a calendar layout in the modern site pages. Several of these sites use these calendars for leave request solutions though they also track various intake scenarios this way also. Trust me, I have tried and tried to convert them to a life without the calendar and they have already given up so much and adapted to other features and functional changes - they aren't letting go. We are working hard to modernize our tools and convert, but there are some expectations here for being able to see a calendar view of this data. The new modern list view is nice but it feels like it is incomplete without being able to display it anywhere other than the list. And honestly, when a majority of content owners prefer their users interact with a web part instead of their data source, they simply won't have any use for it (wasted feature).
It would be really lovely if you could prioritize what we feel is a basic organizational tool that has always been used by varying types of staff in all organizations. This shouldn't be extra - dates are a standard data type, why isn't the calendar piece standard also?
Please provide this! is needed. The modern calendar view in Microsoft lists is useless as it does not allow filtering.
This link shows you are thinking about it...

Guys, accept the fact that you are making a mistake. Your solution proposal is not fulfilling what our customers are expecting. In other words, they are useless. We have wasted more than 18 months but it is never too late. Make this happen.
i have a lot of clients who have asked for this functionality to be able to add the 'wall calendar' view into a webpart. I'm disappointed to hear its not on your radar. I would encourage you to reconsider.
hmm, why not planned - no change since 2019?
Using a modern lists calendar view in a web part on a page is highly required
This is needed. Vote up.
This one should be added. It's also needed in my company.

I understand the "Not in our plans right now" response is from 2019 but I have been reading in the admin message center that this is coming... and that it should be here already. At least, I should say, modern calendar views for custom lists... which would more than fulfill the need I think. Soooo... why don't I see the option in my lists yet? And why is the response here not updated?
