Modern pages, lists and libraries look great and all fit together nicely.
The other main thing we use here is the calendars which are still looking classic, which means inconsistencies in the quick links layout as well as other things which viewing a calendar.
I can't find anything about when Calendars are going to be modernized.
Thank you for submitting this suggestion and voting on it. We have two events/calendar solutions in modern pages today. The events web part has card based event tiles, powered by events lists. You can roll-up events from multiple sites into one page, but there isn’t currently a wall calendar view.
Alternatively you can select to leverage a group calendar, and pull all of your events (including recurring events) from Exchange. This too is a compact card based view.
While we understand a wall calendar view is desirable, we’re not working on it at this time.
Bump. This is needed.
I can build beautiful Communication sites but then I have to use a Classic Calendar. That is an awful experience for users of SharePoint and can't be solved with a Group Calendar.
There is a huge push for everyone to move to the Modern experience, but we can't get a modern calendar? This should be corrected asap and I'm really disappointed that no one is even working on it.

Please consider working on this as soon as possible. Users are very unhappy with the way things work today in Modern experience. It is lacking so much at this point that is actually confusing people rather than making their experience better.

"Not in our plans right now"? This is just disappointing. No matter how much we try to promote SharePoint within the organizations, such a basic incapability would only push people away from SharePoint more everyday. Very disappointed.

Hi, it would be really nice if you could reconsider or provide an option to show events/calendar as a list overview! Eg. I would like to create a shared calendar for my project team, where 1 - my project team enter when they are going on holiday, 2 - list when we have certain common meetings in the project, 3 -important dates
Yes, there is the app Shift that is added to the Teams, but this is better for adding work and shift purpose, might not be a good option for my project members, as I don't want to add their workh hours in the Shift app, we only need to know when they are on holiday.

It seems you don't really understand then... How does a newer product not contain feature parity with the older product that clearly people still use?
To put it a different way, how do you show a monthly view calendar on a modern SharePoint page ?
I'm honestly surprised this is not being elevated as a priority!
The teams in my organization like to use the front page of their Group sites as their dashboard for all important information. A monthly calendar with overlayed calendars is a priority in our team/project organization. The embed code to insert a calendar within an iframe is clunky and ugly. I'm seeing teams bypass the use of Group sites all together because this basic functionality is missing!
I'm honestly shocked this basic functionality is still being ignored.

@Sites Product Team, if no modernization to calendar list, then update your events web part to include a calendar view of events. This is a huge demand from our users, and a common thing used in other platforms such as Confluence.
We need a modern monthly view!!
Calendars are a fundamental part of team collaboration. The only way I've been able to get a monthly calendar into a page is with embedding code and it looks terrible. It gives people a very poor impression of what SharePoint can do when the first thing they see looks weak. Please provide us with Modern Calendars ASAP!

Definitely need a way to put a calendar web part on a MODERN page. This is basic functionality that was in the product previously that is no longer an option, but is widely used in an intranet scenario.
More calendar options to post in a SharePoint page!! we want an actual calendar and not that list of events
Modern Events/Webpart is a good addition but we badly need a full featured modern calendar (full page month/week/day view) with the ability to create color overlay calendar. There should also be option to add this modern calendar to a page (like month view). There are two many options for calendar within Office 365 (Exchange, Group Calendar, Planner etc.) but none is able to meet simple requirements.

The calendar needs an overhaul.
* Native filtering by columns, e.g., via dropdown.
* A much better way to navigate calendar overlays. Context should be retained when you switch among overlays so that you can go back to the last one you were viewing.
* A better way of displaying lots of events inside a single day block, without relying so much on the "More" link.
* Total customization of the data you can place onto an event block: i.e., first and second lines should display whatever columns you want them to.
* Of course, a robust mobile format that supports the above.
Colors would be so helpful!
I love the simplicity of putting together a new site with modern web parts. I also love the events module, but the lack of native support for a monthly overview over a year and a half past the initial request on this site is a slap in the face of the users, trying to express their needs. That's the point of this portal, right? There isn't even a response from someone from MS which makes everything even more frustrating.

Over a year since the first post on this, and nothing has been done by MS yet? This is a huge feature that needs to be completed - soon....
we need this!!! any updates?

It is sad having to have a link on our modern pages that take users to a calendar view that loads in classic. 😢
