Site Settings option missing in the Modern pages

In SharePoint Online, the site settings option is missing in all the modern pages. It looks weird for all the users as they don't find the direct option to access the site settings page from the landing page of the site. It would be great if you include the site settings option in the modern pages/sites.

    The weird thing about options in the gear dropdown is that you cannot predict them. I still haven't figured out when it will show Site Permissions and when not, and I don't know anybody who has. It's a violation of the fundamental principle of predictability in interaction design.

    Still not done. Also from the new "Team" SharePoint sites, if you go to Site settings...where are the Site Collection Permissions???

    you can find the site settings in modern team sites by following:

    Click on Gear icon -->Site Information ---> View All site settings.

    Here's how it currently rolls...

    Create a new Team Site - site is created with Classic home page. Being a forward-thinker, you'd create a new Modern home page, as there's no point creating a flash native/Classic home page as that's bound to be retired... No way to get to Site Settings from Modern home page!!!

    BOOM! It's not done. There are no Site Settings on the modern page. Annoying to see how inconsistent the SharePoint interface can be across the product. 2 steps forward, 1 step back....

    This is not fixed. Site settings is missing on multiple pages in SharePoint Online. Please fix this as I'm getting tired typing /_layouts/15/settings.aspx

    Seems like this link shows if I am a member, and disappears if I am a Site Collection Admin....... !!!

    I would like to update my previous comment... if you are on a list, viewing the list items the 'site settings' is not visible.... if you navigate into the list settings... 'site settings' is visible....

    My request would be to update your gear so that it is consistent across the SharePoint web site.

    I would disagree with this assertion. I do not see the 'site sittings' in my new experience gear in SharePoint online

    Still, Site Settings link not showing in Moder Page gear icon dropdown. Any steps need to be perform in site/admin center?

    Its annoying not to see the site settings link in the gear option as it will restrict the user to manage the site.
