Enable Audience targeting on modern page web parts
It would be great to be able to target content by Audience (using global audiences and SharePoint groups) on the modern web parts just like we were able on the classic pages. Thanks
We’re rolled out audience targeting on pages and news posts, and allow targeting content in the news and highlighted content web parts. You can also soon target links in quick links (see the product roadmap for dates).
If you have specific web parts you’d like to see add audience targeting capabilities, please create an individual request for each part.

SharePoint Uservoice Admin
I was looking for this recently to provide a message and some administrative links to the maintainers of specific pages so that I could target these users and they would be the only ones to see this message.
First problem I ran into is only a handful of webparts and navigation items support "Audience Targeting", which is what brought me here.
Second problem is that it only supports O365 Groups and AD Groups. I would like the ability to just put one/many AD Users without the requirement to create groups. And as other users have said here, SharePoint Groups as well.
We really need to be able to add SharePoint groups as target audience again, and it would be really nice if it was possible to add those to quick link web parts in modern ui as well.

We have this in our tenant right now for et hand nav links. However, we need the ability to use SharePoint groups as well as O365 groups. O365 groups are too clunky for this need. I don't need another SharePoint site to manage and report on I don't have the Powershell option to create the group w/out a site. This is useless right now. I can't share with a subset of the O365 group. A SharePoint group gives me that flexibility

2 years without an update! Please put virtual reality on hold and deliver these reald world quick wins. We need audience on Quick Links web part.
We NEED to be able to audience target to SharePoint groups in SharePoint! Audience targeting is completely useless when we're using communications sites that don't have o365 groups.

Audience Target in List Views please!! This has been held off for too long already!
I would like Audience Targeting built into Views. We have a number of lists with the same data, accessed by multiple departments, and it would be really useful to be able to target public views to specific department members.
e.g. Team1 sees the different views they need, Team2 sees their group of views, Team3 sees theres etc. but the view list doesn't get clogged with lots of views that are not relevant to their team.

Targeting for text web parts is a real need. We have several different audiences visiting the same page and need to deliver specific messages to them.
Any update on the Quick links Audience Targeting ??
We want to hide entire web parts based on audience targeting and links within the quick links web part
What is the update on this?
The Quicklinks web part would be the most beneficial. Please do it fast
Quicklinks is definately the top priority for the majority of my clients as well.

Hi, displaying Quicklinks based on audience targeting would be better as we can put different links to it and restrict access from group of users.

The most weird thing with Audience targeting on Modern exp is the lack of support for dynamic AAD groups! How should you be able to have any automatic and dynamic experience WITHOUT support for dynamic groups?!

It would be helpful to have audience targeting on any given web part, but priority given to quick links (including the individual links themselves) and text web parts.
