Configuring Search Results view in Modern pages
Search Results Page of Modern Pages doesn't allow an option to customize the results view, change default scopes or switch to classic search results format. The search is locked to current site and result view format which mayn't be always what users need.
While the Modern page UI is work in progress, at least, there should be an option to override the search results to default to OSSSearchResults or to an Classic Enterprise center if needed.

Any kind of JavaScript we can inject, templates we can programmatically modify, customization we can do via SPFx, would be very much appreciated.

Is any reliable way to control the number of items that show up in the suggested search results? I tried to run the reindex in the library but it doesn't work. Some items needed to be show from the result, but only showed one. But some search strings are worked and can show all related items. It is so annoying, any solution on it?

We should have options to customize and add more refiners on search results page, just like how it was in classic view. Or at-least an option to redirect to classic search page from modern page.

We have to have a mix of classic and modern pages and also have cloud search where on premise content is display on O365. Users get confused between to two styles of search.
