Put "Site Settings" back under the settings gear for Modern Pages, and Get Rid of "Site Information"
The removal of "Site Settings" from modern pages and the Addition of "Site Information" is a horrible idea. It is rare that I would want to edit the title, description, and site image. And having "Delete This Site" So close to the "Site Settings" link on the "Site Information" panel, is horrible. Way to easy to accidentally click on. This is an accident waiting to happen. Please put site settings back and if you are going to have "Site Information", put "Delete This Site" far away from anything else. Also, this would be a good place to put Information about the Site, instead of the option to Edit title description and the icon. You could link to that page from here.

I agree wholeheartedly. Why does Microsoft continue to over-complicate things...? Specially when "Site Actions - Site Settings" has worked for 2 decades!

Yes this was marked as done in another idea (even though it wasn't) here: https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/329214-sites-and-collaboration/suggestions/19450912-site-settings-option-missing-in-the-modern-pages
There is another idea for this here: https://sharepoint.uservoice.com/forums/329214-sites-and-collaboration/suggestions/35813782-site-settings
This is an easy one and 2 years later we're still asking for it.

Ugh, this is so annoying. One more click for admins. Confirms that UI development consists of only engineers. No way a day-to-day SP admin would have thought this was a good idea.
