remove recycle bin from left navigation for Visitors
Recycle bin is not relevant for visitors resp. page viewers (users with read permission to the site.) Add the ability to remove it from navigation.
People who wants it can always add it as a standard link to the menu.

Does anyone know why this isn't an option? What is the reason behind the SharePoint recycle bin always being visible?

When can you expect it?

Why in the plans still, after 6 months?
Why not at least in progress? -

Agreed - Important, urgent and an obvious requirement.

Recycle bin should only be visible if the user can actually restore something to the site. Visitors should not be able to perform that task.

+1 I have a boss who is very unhappy with this behavior and doesn't know why I won't "just remove it"

I definitely agree with this. Please have an option to hide Recycle Bin in the quick links.

It would be much better to select if we do want the users to see the recycle bin. I would also suggest this would be possible for any kind of users, not only visitors.

I totally agree with this request.
In the modern design, the recycle bin only shows up if the website width is below 1024 Pixel and the menu Shows up as "hamburger button".
This behaviour should really be fixed.
