Column formatting in List Web Part
Support column formatting in list web part view.
(Column formatting reference doc here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/declarative-customization/column-formatting?hubRefSrc=email&utmsource=lfemail&utmmedium=email#lf-content=219744560:765307984)

We showed at Ignite 2018 the modern doclib and list webpart having full fidelity views, matching the same thing you’d see in the full doclib or list page. That should now be available in SharePoint Online.
If you are seeing specific customizations that aren’t working, please open a support ticket so we can track it down.

"how can Flow not work with web part columns? - Microsoft has been selling us all along on the idea that its various programs interact so perfectly..."

The ability to utilize a Flow "button" column in the list webpart on a modern page would be a huge benefit.

Strongly agree with Jayden Nordic
Column formatting only works with modern views. It should be done for classic views as well. -

Highest priority for me would be in the list view on modern pages. Really surprised that didn't work out of the box.

This would be really helpful. Otherwise we can't use the webparts to view our lists.

@Kelly: totally agree. Same thing for list forms by the way.

Seems like it should have been an obvious need to always have the formatting apply since we're applying the formatting at the column level. It's difficult to not get frustrated.
