Anchor Links or Collapsing Sections
It would be helpful to have sections that collapse, tabs, or anchor links for pages that contain lots of information. Word allows you to create bookmarks, and OneNote allows you to create tabs to easily navigate lots of information on a given topic. It would be great if you had the same flexibility with a page in SharePoint

We’ve shipped anchors on pages for all text web part headings (H1, H2, H3). Simply hover over a heading on a modern page and you’ll see the link symbol to that anchor. Clicking on the link adds it to the end of your page URL #as-an-anchor-using-the-text-from-the-heading.

Really happy to see that this is in the pipeline! The H1, H2, H3 solution sounds like a good start that meets *most* of my needs.

Accordion/Collapsing sections are very important to us, too. Please post an expected delivery date. Thanks!

@Microsoft: What's the status? Both the linkage to sections on the same page as well as collapsing sections would be a real advantage.

And a simple way to link a document - right now, File Viewer seems to be the only way and I'm not sure if I can do away from showing the document, with just a text and link.

Great to see @nchor links are finally on their way.
As a suggestion, I really do think it would be prudent to review the fundamental tags and elements available within HTML and incorporate these! In many respects you're running before you can crawl with Sharepoint modern pages.
Central alignment of Web part content for instance, custom styling, or HTML colour selections.
Additional column layouts. (4 columns?)
Next up, the ability to intelligently fit more content onto a page, with accordians, tabbed sections, collapsing sections etc
What about Web part audiencing?
What about copy /paste Web parts, or reusing them across pages?
I'm always really surprised a "kindle reader" was considered more important than any of the above.

Awesome that Anchors are on their way!
I'd like to echo the comments of others that this is a good first step, however we really could do with more functionality for this. I.e. linking to web parts / sections on the page / insert in to free text, as well as deep linking to headers.
I would also +1 for the collapsing sections OR concertina web part possibly? This would be enormously useful!
