Anchor Links or Collapsing Sections
It would be helpful to have sections that collapse, tabs, or anchor links for pages that contain lots of information. Word allows you to create bookmarks, and OneNote allows you to create tabs to easily navigate lots of information on a given topic. It would be great if you had the same flexibility with a page in SharePoint

We’ve shipped anchors on pages for all text web part headings (H1, H2, H3). Simply hover over a heading on a modern page and you’ll see the link symbol to that anchor. Clicking on the link adds it to the end of your page URL #as-an-anchor-using-the-text-from-the-heading.

Why is this still missing? The SharePoint modern pages should at least support basic HTML tags and functionality. This stuff has been around since the dawn of the internet guys. Come on.
I share the views of everyone else on this one - we need a way of being able to navigate within page. Long tutorials / guides for instance have these. Your own online tutorial pages in the office support site rely really heavily on two things.
Anchor Links + Tabbed content sections.
We need both of these.

Modern pages are awesome for creating online documentation...except for the lack of anchors. It makes creating long articles a pain to navigate through.

There is no option to insert bookmarks (anchors) in modern pages. It would be very useful to create links from an "index" in the top of a page, or link directly to a section/heading on a page from another page.

There are several similar requests for anchor points on a page - hopefully all the requests will be combined!

Yes please - in scenarios like FAQs specifically - this would be a super useful feature.

I think it is going to be essential to have some way of getting people to information quicker than having to scroll through a busy page.

I support fully the ability to add Anchor links to a modern page!

The ability to add anchors to sections within a page is becoming increasingly important. The Modern SharePoint Pages are lovely but can become long very quickly due to the use of space. Not being able to link within a page becomes a real problem - personally I'm advocating for being able to add anchor bookmarks rather then collapsing sections but I could see the benefit of those too

Totally agree with Peter! This would make navigation much easier.
