Office 365 Connectors web part in Communication Sites
Office 365 Connectors within SharePoint are only available for use within group-connected SharePoint team sites, according to https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/use-the-connector-web-part-db0756aa-f78f-4b74-8b19-be5dca0420e1.
Please add support for using Office 365 Connectors also in Communication Sites. For example, I would like to display data from outside by using an RSS Feed connector on a Communication Site page.

Please escalate this functionality as it is holding up a lot of development from being rolled out for a lot of users. Functionality between classic and modern shouldn't have this many differences / limitations / restrictions.

I cannot fathom that Microsoft included an RSS addin that only works on group sites. If Microsoft thinks the technology dead or obsolete, then why include it at all? Probably because it is stil very much in use (on classic publishing portals).

I don't see where an RSS Feed is more valuable than in a Communication Site, where you are trying to give information to the outer group. It's been here for 2 and a half years.

The RSS feed connector would be just one good argument to do that.

Please add connector web parts to communications sites! It enable automated updates of data that is being communicated to the company rather than a manual process.

Seems shocking to me. Shouldn't a communication site be the first it's available on?

It is a much required feature for any Organization to track the user adoption and traffic to the intranet communication site.

Hello, we really need to add web parts to our team dashboard. Thank you for doing the needful soon.

I really hope they fix this soon. Really frustrating roadblock for my team. I don't understand why they would only enable them for team sites but not a Communication site??? Wha????

Can anyone confirm if GCC customers can enable the Connectors at the tenant level?
Set-OrganizationConfig -ConnectorsEnabledforTeams:$true

This makes Communication Sites of little value, why restrict the ability to provide 'communication' on a communication site ???

I agree why would this be limited to Group connected sites only?

I agree with the other commenters here, why would this be limited to Group connected sites only? There are so many great features available in general but for some big differences we make the end user choose between using a Group site or Communication site. Why not let users configure either template as we'd like- e.g. horizontal or left navigation, connect to an O365 group or not, add these connectors if needed, etc.?

Why would this be limited?

Fire the guy that thought it would be a good idea to make Communication Sites without creating a Groups, then fix it by making them have Groups and everything is solved.

This is a must really - how could MS miss this in the first place!

This absolutely must be included in a Communication Site template. Communication Sites are a key component to MS's Modern Intranet. "Intranets are places where you go to get things done," --Susan Hanley. In order to get things done, we need information. We need RSS. Please!

This is hugely important for Google Analytics Connector on Communication Sites as part of an intranet solution! Far less useful om a Team Site.
