Enable "tel:" and "mailto:" links in editor
When creating links using the Wysiwig editor we should have the ability to add "tel:" links and "mailto:" links.

Sorry we neglected to let you know this is already available on modern pages in the text web part. Either type the syntax directly into the page (and on enter we should recognize it), or use ctrl/cmd + K to bring up the page picker.

it is working fine in Modern page. just copy mailto:name@mydomain.com over the https:// displayed in Address box.

Having the tel: functionality seems like a no-brainer if you really want to have mobile application completeness. You build it into the profile display, so why can't users activate the same function dynamically on their pages?

Agreed as well. It is not up to the CMS system to decide which protocols are allowed.
Interwoven Links are also blocked! "IWL://" -

Absolutely agreed - we need tel: and mailto: enabled for modern pages - people are browsing these sites straight from mobile - we have support links and other call numbers embedded all over our intranet. We need these to work.

I'm able to add a mailto: in the text editor with a link, but not the tel: Any workarounds?

This has been on this page for over a year. Is there a workaround? I wouldn't think so, but thought I would ask.

How is this not available in a "modern web interface"? This is a feature that has been in WIKI site editors since the 90s.

How has this not been implemented yet? This seems like a very common need for users worldwide.

Love everything about the sharepoint pages except the fact there is no mailto link option....I need it in about 6 spots.

I was wondering about this as well. Why prevent "mailto" to be used instead of "http" only? Please enable.

It would be really helpful to have mailto: ability in links. I have people needing it on a weekly basis on our intranet.

No mailto links. Another on the long list of disappointments with modern page "options".

The omission of this feature boggles my mind.
