Betting Linking Experience for Modern Pages
As the new modern pages have been a great jump forward, when we think about everyday users creating links in their pages to content other than pages in their own site, the experience/functionality is lacking.
Users should be able to link to anything they have access to. Be it a document, a file or even another site. That process should be baked in to SharePoint the same may it is baked into other applications like flow.
If you have access to something in O365, you should be able to "pick/select" it from the link creation dialog, rather than knowing the full link ahead of time.

also, you should be able to link to a chunk of text on the same page. that way you could have an interactive table of contents within a single document. i mean, come on....
Agree this limited functionality it so annoying! In the Sharepoint 2013 environment you could highlight text and upload and approve a document all in one go and now we seem to only be able to link to other pages!

I agree that the experience of adding a hyperlink to a modern page is extremely lacking. You should, at the very least, be able to browse to documents and pages within the site you are on! The fact that you have to copy and paste the link each time is infuriating!
