I suggest you ....

Remove restriction for 50 hub sites (or increase it to 500 sites)

Please remove the restriction for 50 hub sites per tenant (or at least increase it to 500 sites) as there could be many scenarios where one would need more than 50 hub sites particularly the large / multinational enterprise/organisations. For example, Project Management Office (PMO) used to create subsites for a large projects to manage different streams within a single project and would now create Office 365 Groups and I can see PMO could easily use 10 - 20 hub sites.

So it's been increased to 2000 and this item hasn't been updated since October 2018... makes you wonder how often they look at UserVoice.

Just received message center update that it will be increased to 2000. Thanks to Microsoft.

We also need more Hub sites! We have more than 40.000 users worldwide with decentralized businesses. At least we need 200 hub sites. Hope that this will not take a long time!

We definitely need at least 500 in a tenant of 40000 users. Or at least this limit should be based on number of users. Right now limits are same of 50 users or 50000 users.

Is there any news regarding increasing the limit further?

This would be very helpful in an organisation that spans a couple of hundred countries and has over a hundred business units

In my company, at least 2,000 hub sites required since there is 200+ subsidiary and 1,700+ sub sites!!

Its weird that the 100 hub site limitation is the same for all tenants. It should be based on number of users/licenses. This would make it fair. For our company (30.000 users) 100 hub sites is a joke, while for smal companies it might be too much.

100 is still far too less for bigger companies. We have 40k+ users divided over 300+ geographical locations. Production company. Since every location is a 'mini' business on its own (decentralised) we would love to implement a hub per location. The hub functionality is a fantastic solution but not possible to implement because of the 100 limitation ruining the whole flat architecture vision which otherwise would really love.

Could not agree more, larger organizations will use Hub Sites to reduce the thousands of sites into more easily navigated structures. Additionally with the emphasis on creating more and more site collections rather than building out sub sites, this will become even more critical.

With 600+ preschools, 170+ K-12 schools and 5+ further education schools Stockholms stad would love to have the maximum 50 HubSites limit broken. I would assume 10 times more would be more in the scope for a large tenant like ours.
