File Viewer web-part needs view-size option
File Viewer: The Web-part for this is great, but does not allow a large enough view port for the document. Could we have a size of view option? I would like to be able to view a whole page of A4 at normal or near normal view size on an HD monitor.

It would be good to be able to set the view to 75% or 50% so that the entire worksheet could be seen in the viewer. Thank you.

Since this is still outstanding after two years, is it safe to assume that it won't be addressed?

I want to display a chart from the Excel workbook. I don't need it to be as big as this default webpart size.

Is there any plan from Microsoft to address this suggestion? This would be very helpful.

The 'file viewer' web part, in its current state, is useless and looks silly when used in a two column section adjacent to a text section which allows the content to wrap and responsively resize. What is the point of allowing a file view (of which a lot, I would assume, are documents like Word, Excel, PPT) and only show half of a normal page size? I can't think of a situation where half of a view makes sense. Please review and allow this web part to have sizing options (width and height)

In our native SharePoint I used image maps to set navigation links into an image. As this won't work in SharePoint online I try to use PowerPoint and File viewer as replacement. The major issue with this alternative is that I can't change the view-size of the file viewer Web-part resulting in black areas at both sides of my picture.

PLEASE provide an option to assign a Zoom level (which needs to be adjusted manually at this point). Having to adjust manually each time the SharePoint page is displayed is just too tedious.

I don't understand why Microsoft would arbitrarily set a (too small) height for the file viewer and not allow it to be changed. The workaround by Anonymous on May 02, 2018 03:44 only works for a single static file - it doesn't work if you have your file viewer connected to a source (e.g. a library).

The FileViewer webpart should allow to edit the embed code as well as the Url, currently it is readonly.

The fileviewer in modern can be adjusted horisontally, but not vertically. That would help people easy index new documents. Could be nice to select size an order of properties pane, access pane and activity pane (linespacing is huge).

I think being able to change the web part size either up or down would be ideal. Sometimes you have more space to fill and you'd like to see more of the file, sometimes you have a smaller space and want to see less of the file. Being able to adjust the height and width separately would be best.

On the other side, I have asked Sharepoint to display a 7-line range of an Excel sheet but the window is big enough for 30 lines.

Would love this feature to show a whole A4 size page.

also the view fullsize option opens a window that is too small to see anything in, and cannot be maximised

As a work around, you click the "Information about this file" icon at the lower right and get the embed code for the viewer which includes width and height. You can copy the embed code to a text editor, change those values, then add an Embed web part with the updated width and height.
It would be great to be able to do that directly in the File Viewer web part so that it's accessible to non-technical users.
My specific use case is a page where a user wants to embed some charts from an Excel spreadsheet. If they use the File Viewer, even if they set it to only display a particular chart, it still puts a ton of ugly whitespace under it.
It would be great to be able to completely remove the link bar at the bottom of the File Viewer as well.
