Add promoted links web part to modern pages
add ability to add an image with a link. At present you can only add an image, or add a link separately
also add the ability to remove the feedback function, staff will think this is feedback to internal staff, not Microsoft
add the promoted links app to modern pages

Promoted links could be used and reused on multiple pages with simple filtering for the page itself, keeping all your links in one place for easy management and updating. Modern pages has NOTHING like this. Please provide a more intuitive links web part that uses reusable data.

Promoted Links was much more versatile, you could manage one list and deploy it on several pages, where this hunk of garbage has to be reconfigured on each page. You could make quicklinks so that it could link from a source list, which would really help.

Please see our custom tiles webpart using SPFx for SharePoint online that has some extra feature.
Please give us feedback and we will add more feature soon. Thanks
@Andy Please provide instructions. How do you display the new tiles to look and act like promoted links? I see no option to have the mouse over effect, nor text inside images. I also can't show this list on 2 or more pages without re-creating it every time.
All Quick links open in an other screen while in the promoted you can choose if you want to open the link in the same screen or open another screen
You mentioned that Quick Links web part can also have the option to display tiles just like a promoted links list
could you please elaborate how. I am having trouble to add the tiles to the modern site
@Andy, this is not the same as feeding the links from a list. For example using a real list as a source records Most Viewed and Most Recent ticks in the Graph (so you have some smart sorting in the Highlighted Content webpart) while the dumb 'Quick Links' do not, furthermore a list has Quick Edit function to quickly edit properties of all the links very quickly, it has version control and all the List functionality you need for a good solution. Hélas a Links or Promoted Links list has no corresponding webpart in the Modern UI (FEB2019), so the experience is pretty crappy. The Highlighted Content webpart needs an update to let the user choose the field to show in the webpart (in this case the Hyperlink field with Title and URL)
This can now be achieved via the Quick Links web part, where you also have the option to display tiles just like a promoted links list
