Saw the new feature and I love it!! But I have a few questions/requests
Is there any way to replace Microsoft and SharePoint logos at the top with those from my own organization or at least put those at the bottom.
Also can the SharePoint logo just above the header be replaced?
Also, I have several subsites that have their own newsfeed. Is there any way to combine those newsfeeds with my main newsfeed into one email digest?

ideally, we would want
1) Full control over the layout and look of the email template
2) Option to have several email templates, e.g. per news digest topic/group/department
3) schedule management to send digests comprised of x number of posts within defined time frame (e.,g. last 7 days)
4) access restricted digests via sub folders in the Page Library, right now we manually create new pages in a sub folder within the page library and post them as "News" on the site in order to give different access rights to news posted into the sub folder vs public news in the root of the page library. Not ideal and cumbersome.
Thanks Cory for the suggestions. I am about to present the News Digest to a team here at our company and I didn't think of the manual edit option. I am not too concerned with the extra Microsoft fluff on there but it really should be an option to the company to decide if they want those items on there.

We have a workaround so you can get even more customization out of the News Digest feature.
I'll email the news digest just to myself and then open it in Outlook. I choose to forward the news digest and that allows me to do much more customization, including removing logos, adding pictures, changing the font, etc. I remove the forward formatting within the email and then paste in my email list for the digest.
It adds an extra step but gives you a lot more freedom to edit things.

Agreed. Great feature poorly executed.

As the news digest is an internal company communication it is bizarre that Microsoft would think we would want their logo and SharePoint branding and icons on the news digest. No! We want our own company logo or custom image. I am constantly fending off questions with "can't you change...."
Was discussing the digest functionality with a colleague. The obtrusive presence of the SharePoint logo is a total turnoff. The obvious option would be for the digest functionality to pick up the site logo from the site where the news digest is created.
