Two-Way-Sync between SharePoint and Excel
It should be feasible to sync updates from Excel to SharePoint Online list. We can import the Excel sheet to a SharePoint Online list or export a SharePoint list to Excel file. However, the sync between them is one-way.
Changes made in the SharePoint list can be written to Excel, but any changes that we make in Excel won't written to SharePoint list automatically.

We really need this feature. When I've made a List that essentially consolidates from various Excel reports, I would like a way to be able to bulk-update items.
Currently it's so time-consuming (especially with large lists) it's sometimes easier to delete the entire list and re-import data from Excel. This causes it's own myriad of problems for reasons I think is obvious.
I would like this cross-feature to be available so Lists can work as a more permanent and reliable source of information and reporting for my staff. I hope this is going to be possible someday. -

It is incredibly strange that this isn't an active feature in XL. As an Excel power user, I have been searching for this functionality for weeks and could not come up with any solutions - outside of third-party apps or archaic workarounds. It seems as though the function exists, however is not allowed. Please bring it back!

I have never understood why this does not work. In one of the versions 2003/2007 I believe this was working through one of the sync tools that MS developed, why it was stopped I don't understand it, and now with Excel online it should be much easier to integrate this.
The other question is what is the roadmap of Lists? are they planning to make all of the functions that are available in Excel, available in Lists? Would be great to see a Roadmap of Lists. -

Excel is the only software that allow us to have easily programed tools for CALCULATING and CREATING information (Not only filling forms) for our companies. It would be the best feature ever made to sync excel and an accessible data storage as sharepoint lists. OneDrive isn't enouth and data bases as SQL are too complex for most business owners as my self.

I can´t believe that this is not possible. Most organizations are still worling with crm´s / erp`s that have their own folderstrukture so that you are searching at this space. But they have the need to work more and more together. So this would be one of the most needed feature, I thing.

This indeed is a very needed feature. Today there is a need to have excels synced with my sharepoint list and the only way to accomplish this is via third party tools which is not good. Please have this implment as soon as possible

Also important to note that the import Excel Spreadsheet option very often does not work. The Active X requirement is a real problem and there are regularly errors in IE as well that just seem to be 'unknown' errors - the whole excel spreadsheet connection in sharepoint lists scenario should be looked at very closely and improved upon please.

This is the missing functionality that would take SharePoint from "why do I need to use this?" to "WOW! this is great!!!"

We want capability to upload to an existing sharepoint list!

Sharepoint list has export to Excel. Add upload from Excel. Keep it simple and insist all fields, data types & formats match for it to work. Get it out there and enhance later.

The excisting solution with a Makros für Excel 2003 ist too old - only .xls-files are supportet (up to max. 65000 rows)
