There are a number of web parts such as Quick Links, Hero web parts that support descriptions for a set amount of text. e.g. Hero web part, Layer Mode, supports 500 characters - with this example only 142 characters are rendered in the web part with the elipsis showing.

I haven't seen anywhere where you can see the full text, its quite misleading and unproductive when entering content into these components.

I am looking for an improved editing experience with at least proper restrictions or guides to how much you can actaully show. Or better a way to view the content.
