Enable Choice fields for Quick charts
I would like that the Quick Charts webpart can also use other fields besides Numeric fields. For example a Choice field. and that it can count based on that value. For example if 4 of the 8 items have status "in progress" show Pie chart with 50% Status "In progress" Thanks

Here's a modern web part which allows all of these scenarios: https://www.365automate.com/charts

Agree, MS should add choice fields and count items also if these are not numerical, similar to how a Pivot table does it in Excel...

Utterly useless only allowing one field type.

Agree. Not having choices or calculated field as a way to construct a chart is severely limiting. I created a number column just to use this feature and ran into a brick wall when I could not construct a chart based on categories (how novel?).

For me, I need to use Numbers as one column (as currently expected by Quick Charts). For the other field, instead of a 'single line of text' column, I need to use a Choice column.
