Bring back SharePoint Online Image Metadata Extraction
Back in September, we have used below columns to extract picture/image metadata w.r.t location in SharePoint Online:
It worked brilliantly. But unfortunately the functionality doesn't seem to work anymore.
Other metadata such as date taken has also been removed. This is causing extreme headache for customers who relied on this data.
PLEASE BRING THIS BACK!!!
Of the 10 reasons why our company upgraded to O365 and started using SharePoint Online, the deep management op photo metadata and map-representation was reason number 3. Now the functionnality is gone, and we are copying back pictures from SP to local only to be able to manage our many many construction sites and their advancement. As the IT-guy, I really have to thank Microsoft to put my job at stake by doing this kind of downgrade.
SAVE MY JOB AND GET THE OPTION WORKING AGAIN PLEASE!!!
Absolutely must have

This is sooooooo WRONG MS!!! get back in the game
This is (was) a heavily used field in Picture Libraries by our Global Environmental Engineering company. No longer having this information makes SharePoint Online a hard sell to our clients and internal users.
PLEASE bring back the Picture Date taken information.
I work in a number of organisations wanting to use o365 more for all elements of work. The lack of Exif searchable information in a 'Photo Library is very disappointing. When will we be able to have this?
This is critical for any application that deals with photos. Can’t believe this was depreciated. This is critical for apps we have using photographs.

I'm trying to convince my business to make full use of Office365 which we have recently signed up to and to stop using Google Apps - however this is hard when Google Photo's has better functionality than Sharepoint because when you drag and drop photo's to google the date taken is automatically updated! Please fix Microsoft or you'll never compete with Google!!!
We too need to preserve image metadata when importing to Sharepoint Libraries!! Thank you.

Yes, and we need Date Picture Taken as well extracted from EXIF
image rotation would be nice as well. Can't believe Microsoft can be this ignorant.
Wir haben den SharePoint Online aufgrund dieser Funktion unserem Kunden überhaupt empfohlen. Ehrlichgesagt ist dem Kunden der SharePoint ohne diese Funktion nutzlos!
Our school uses various EXIF fields that were, until November, automatically scraped and added as a column to each item. Without this functionality, our CPR Division will need to move to a different platform that has this support.
Microsoft's own documentation still says that this function is available for Asset Library's, but Microsoft Support says the feature is deprecated (without notice to users).

We use the "date taken" meta data from project photos to track progress on dozens of facilities projects. This has been a helpful feature until recently when the "Date taken on" meta data stopped populating. Unfortunately our project control photos are of no use until this feature is restored. I'd be grateful if this feature were restored quickly because our system is built around it.
