SharePoint 2019 Thumbnails
Show/Generate Thumbnails in modern UI document libraries.
This is a very bad regression compared to classic view. Added to the fact that there is no decent image gallery webpart, it makes almost impossible to manage image galleries within SP2019 (And no. CDC is not an option for us).
PLEASE MS. reimplement this feature.

It is so hard to direct our users to move toward modern when they are losing so much functionality such as things like this that worked great in SharePoint 2016/2013 and have no replacement in modern.
Please! Lack of thumbnails makes navigating image libraries a pain, and actually renders some of ours useless. Directing everyone back to classic seems backwards and clunky.
I've taken to opening folder with images in Explorer at least you can then see what they are! basic stuff to see a thumbnail in a folder?!

Another added to the list of missing features which are forcing our users to abandon Modern Experience. It is really starting to seem like it just wasn't ready for release. A significant number of UserVoice submissions are people simply trying to get back features that have vanished with no workaround other than to revert to classic. It's baffling.

Right now, thumbnails post a data leak risk. I suggest you find my post about it. I have posted some of the tested documents.

I agree, modern view in sharepoint 2019 needs to have thumbnails generated for images.

So many of our users have reported this issue in our UAT testing that it's apparent, despite the workaround, that this will have an impact. It's very disappointing that the default behavior for such a highly-used feature is broken.
