Mac Safari - Very poor performance browsing SharePoint
Navigating SharePoint Online document libraries using Mac Safari is almost unusable. The page is extremely slow to load and often freezes after scrolling for a while. Safari flags the site as consuming an unusually high amount of memory. (Safari 12.0.3, Mac OS X 10.13.6 on a relatively new MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM)

I ran into this. it seems that pkd process that handles extensions goes nuts and cpu spikes. It seems to take the lsd process with it too. Until I figured out it was Sharepoint and Safari not playing well I would go in under the hood and kill the pkd process and it would be fixed for a while. In the end I ended up putting my sharepoint bookmarks in Chrome.
It's crazy slow. Although I'm a real Apple fan, I decided to quit using Safari and install Chrome. Feels strange, but works great!

I am seeing this as well in my enterprise. Anyone else having this issue?
We are seeing Safari MAC taking minutes to load our SharePoint Home page. It is a heavier site/home page, but we are seeing seconds to load in Chrome and FF on the MAC.
