Mega Menu change:
The Mega Menu is not user friendly and intuitive:
The text is in grey, which is difficult for some people. The menu is not expanding and folding as you expect:
It expands when you hover over it, but the arrow down doesn't change into an arrow up, so you have to press the arrow down when you want it to fold.
Neither does it fold when the focus is outside the expanded menu. Please:
Make the text color black (or customizable)
Make it expand and fold logically. -

Yes please! Even if you start with allowing emoji icons which is already available for Teams channels. Even better if you enable the icon picker which is already implemented for the modern web part experience.
We frequently have users who does not understand the difference between a library vs a view vs list in the site navigation. Just a simple symbol would make this experience a lot better!

Add the ability to be able to add web parts to the mega menu so that free form text, images and document/custom list views can be added.

Please allow an option to add images or icons to the links in footer and left navigation. For example, I would like to have links to our organization social media accounts in the footer on our hub site and users expect to see social media icons, not just text.
Thanks. -

I would like to have the ability to specify a small icon or style to be applied to individual menu items. In our intranet design, we use FontAwesome to put one of three icons on a menu item to designate the home site, an employee search or an external link.
For the home site menu item, the icon replaces other text although the menu text still appears as hover text. This is controlled with a binary flag indicating whether the text should be displayed or not.
For our employee search and external links, we put the FontAwesome icon in front of the menu item followed by the text.
I would envision a property for each menu item where I could specify a FontAwesome class to display as well as a checkbox or radio button to control whether the icon is the body of the menu item or not. The hover text of the item should still be the title of the menu although having the ability to specify alternate text would be a nice-to-have addition as well.

Add the ability to control the font size of the different levels in Mega Menu. Default level 3 is hard to read and is considerably different compared to the rest of the font

Currently mega menu is only accepting "URL", or "Header".
It should be great to have also the option to add an "Image", to create more visual and appealing menus.

Ability to Make the mega menu more smarter.
We have tested with quite a lot of navigation items for the mega menu and noticed that the mega menu does not word-wrap long text.
Also, an ability to rearrange the menu items (sort of drag and drop) would be great -

It is okay to dream.... :) .
Please add the ability to add icons to the Quick Launch/Left Navigation of team sites. It would be very nice if we can make our Quick Launch/side navigation look like that of the Office 365 admin center. While you are it, also add the ability to toggle the Quick Launch so that it shows only icons. Exactly the way Office 365 admin center left navigation works.
Nothing is impossible! It would be make it easier to free up space in the center of SharePoint online team site pages. Also, team members will easily get used to what each icons stand for.
