Read Only List Columns
This is a very common scenario where you need a COLUMN that is only editable by certain permission levels or by a workflow, flow, or other automated process. The column configuration screen should have several settings for New, Edit, and View forms.
Read Only Column
1) Read-Only
2) Locked on New Item
3) Locked on Edit Item
4) Editable (Normal)
Group or Permission Level allowed to Edit
Viewable On (Checkboxes)
1) New
2) Edit
3) Display
Permissions required to always Edit
1) Approve
2) Cancel Checkout
3) Specific Group ________
