What's happening with the list views in SharePoint Online?
Hi Microsoft, in SharePoint lists (and libraries) there are some good view options like "boxed" and "newsletter" which are good for organize content in a list in a reader friendly way. Eg. if I make a list of project resources it is easy to filter and showcase each resource details in a boxed view. Yes, we have the new People web part, but it only collects some information from the personal profile, and does not collect information from a list. If the People web part would collect information from a list or if that same information could be added to the personal profile in Delve, and then a queery could showcase this information in the People web part, then that would solve this requirement.
The view "newsletter" is great if eg. I want to make a list of role descriptions, and group per role. When "opening" the details about a specific role I can read the different information about the role, which are written in several columns with multiple lines, eg. one column for mandate, one column for area of responsibility, one column for competence requirement, etc..
As of now, only group and filtering views are working on modern lists. Please modernize the other good views (Boxed, Newsletter, total, Preview and shaded, etc.).
Or, if you do not modernize these, please let us know what you would replace these functionalities with.
