We can Promote but not Demote News. Add ability to Demote News pages.
Pages can be promoted to News, but cannot be demoted (?). To manage news the entire page has to be deleted. rRomoted state cannot be changed anywhere in the library. Some rely on third party github hacked extensions to simply change a promoted state. PLEASE give us the ability to manage what is a News page, and what is not.

Agreed please add a way to remove old News. The suggestion to delete everything with no archive does not work for us.
