Send email notifications to the "display Author", and not the the "backend author" (createdby)
Sharepoint online now sends notifications to Authors for comments on pages/news.
problem is: this email is sent to the backend author (CreatedBy field), which is not editable.
You can change the display author near the title, but that is not used for notifications.
Which means, if the original author changes/leaves the job, we cannot redirect notifications no anyone else.
So, you either make it possible to change the CreatedBy field, or you send notifications to the display author.
Anyone should be able to easily subscribe and unsubscribe to receiving comments on a page would be my preference for how these notifications work.

really, we should just be able to choose any authorized user as the one who receives notifications of comments

It would be nice if the notification could be sent to multiple people, or a group email address. This is needed not just for news articles, but for when people post a comment on the bottom of a SharePoint page.
Most Important and must have features. It create more work for admin.
this is must-have.. at the moment persons who is blog author learned how to create empty page sho she could recieve comments notifications for her text.

This feature is super important. Can this please be added?

This is really needed, because it is also possible that a user is creating the side for another user but the "real" business-owner of this page is the second user.
