Allow users with READ permissions to set their own default view
Until recently users with Contribute and Read permissions could select their own default view of a list. That feature was removed in the last few weeks. On 10/24/2019 I submitted Ticket #:17267395, and was told that by design users must have EDIT or higher to set a personal default view. Please put this back the way it was. Many readers and contributors to a list really liked having their own default view and are upset that they lost it. At the same time, those users should not have Edit permissions that allow them to Add/Remove/Change entire columns and even delete the whole list.

We recently migrated our onprem Mapped network drives to SharePoint and are finding this to be a catch point for us too. When creating Permission levels, under the Personal Permissions section, there needs to be an option to allow users to Set their own Default view on a library. We can then add that to any role Edit, Contribute etc that we like.
