Navigation dropdown menus display unintentionally
The current hub site and local site navigation menus are very confusing as they will open when the user did not intent to interact with them. Any brief mouse over event will trigger the menu to open on a slight delay, even if the user was intending to interact with another component on the page. The menu then will not go away until the user clicks on the page again.
It would be better if the menus would only open on a click or when the pointer remains over the menu item to know the user is intending to interact with the menu.

I am getting concerned about this in our organization. It is very sensitive and many users click fast. When they hover quickly through the hub navigation, the nav opens. Also since we are using the megamenu, it shows a big panel and users now need to perform another click to make that panel go away or they mistakenly click on one of those link.
Can there be an intent delay?
Just browsing the internet, this seems like an interested idea:
Yes! This is a poor user Experience. Menus are flying open when a user is not pausing on the navigation. There should be a delay or better yet, click to open option.
