It's great we now have the 'Tiles' layout option for the News web part which provides a similar look to the Hero web part. However the tiles option in news is missing the 'Call to action' that can be included on Hero tiles (beneath the title). We have used a single tile Hero for a feature news item and used the Call to action field to display the story date. If popping a CTA field into News tiles layout is problematic, I'd be happy if the article date could appear beneath the story title on the News tile.
