drag and drop files to grouped library view
Drag and drop files into a library is working fine....unless you drop the file into a header of a grouped view..... Then the file is NOT uploaded at all.
What would be nice (and has been working in the past): when dropping a file into a grouped view, the file should assume the metadata for that group.
Frustrating is that this worked in the past and even now, the group where you want to drop is outlined when hovering above it with the dragged file.
Already reported this to Microsoft Support (Case #;19765187) but got the answer that this is "By design"....
We suggest Microsoft reconsiders the withdrawl of this functionality as it was very usefull.

Agree. Also the feature to drag and drop to a filtered view and auto apply the filtered values as metadata would be very user friendly as well.

Without this feature SP loses a very important user-friendly functionality.
Please keep the 'drag & drop'!!!!!!!! -

This used to work and was so handy! When you drag & drop the file in the correct "group by" view, the file takes over the same Meta-data. This made the Meta-Data very user friendly. Now it's the opposite: very annoying and time consuming.
