SharePoint Treeview filter of a Term Set
It should be possible to set for each list or document library a default view (list view or tree view) for the filter pane.
If there are to less items, it's not possible to switch between list view and tree view. Please keep in mind, that this not a porblem for the default view setting.
If in the tree view a parent node is selected, child nodes should be automatically selected.
After reopening the filter pane with the tree view, the selected items should be shown.
it would be nice to be able to select what view type should be default. In my opinion, i think the Tree view is more popular. Please make it the default view in the Filter pane

Our team REALLY needs the Tree Filter to work by default when a term set has more than one level of terms. or at least allow them to set it "ON" when needed.

Missing of a Treeview Filter Webpart for managed Metadata Columns is very annoying. Bad User Experience
We need this as soon as possible!

Also for us, this is VERY important! I quote my user:
"When you first open the filters they are shown in a not very intuitive way. And to get the tree view you first need to select the option on the menu... not User friendly AT ALL!"
So $MS, please solve by making the "set the default filter view to a tree view" should be an option
If MS is not able to solve this issue, Metadata filtering is useless for me. The users of my library will not do the additional clicks. In my case it is even more clicks than two as I have two columns using metadata.
It would really be a pitty. Metatdata filtering was one of the best features for libraries in sharepoint.
It is already difficult enough to make people aware of the filter, since it's randomly popping up by default or not. I really can't sell it when the proper list is two clicks away and doesn't work as expected either since the selection mechanism doesn't work properly. Please next time ask a non tech person to test this feature?
Being able to set the default filter view to a tree view should be an option. I was excited to implement this after watching a YouTube tutorial but the 'Tree View' is now an extra two button clicks - which is a poor UX!
